Dr Terence Ascott - Chairman

Before founding SAT-7 in 1995, Dr Ascott was the International Director of Middle East Media, a Middle Eastern agency with print and TV ministries, which he had co-founded in 1975. During his 20 years with Middle East Media, Dr Ascott also helped found the Arabic Broadcasting Convention, chaired the Cooperative Strategy Group and produced The Real Story, a six-part video series to help western Christians better understand the Arab World. He is a member of the Arabic Media Convention, the World Association for Christian Communication and the British Coptic Association. Dr Ascott holds a first class B.Sc. degree with honours in Civil Engineering from the Middlesex University, England and in December 2011 was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Christian Ministries by Belhaven University, USA.

George Makeen

George is from Cairo, Egypt. His education includes a BA in Theology and an MA in Biblical Theology from The Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo. His previous work experience expands from script writing and translating to publishing and advertising. George joined SAT-7 in 2003, working as an assistant to the head of programs. As SAT-7 grew to a network of five channels, George played a major role in the development and growth of that expansion. Now he is responsible for all SAT-7 Arabic channels.

Nicoletta Michael

Nicoletta Michael manages the planning, coordination and execution of SAT-7 Education & Development projects. Her experience is based on international relations and politics with a focus on conflict resolution and peacebuilding. She is a holder of a BA in International Relations and Politics (University of Essex, UK) and of an MA in International Politics and Europe (University of Warwick, UK). Nicoletta worked in the cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, in charge of the Media and Communication sector. Later on, Nicoletta was recruited as European Union Official at European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) Division of the European External Action Service (EEAS) in Brussels. In 2015, Nicoletta joined SAT-7 where she works as a Development Manager responsible for the Project Planning, Project Execution, and Project Monitoring and Controlling, of SAT-7's multi-million-dollar projects. Nicoletta is passionate for the Middle East and North Africa and aspires to see a Middle East and North Africa where people enjoy universally recognized rights, freedoms and liberties, irrespective of their ethnicity, gender, religious or political beliefs.
