HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC

Holy Family Catholic School has a long and rich history in Plum Borough. Our school was dedicated on September 2, 1959 to St. John the Baptist who prepared the world for the coming of Christ. When our school first opened its doors, there were eleven large classrooms and a large multi-purpose room; a school addition was completed in 1963 and dedicated in January of 1964. We opened our doors with an enrollment of 288 students. Morning and afternoon Kindergarten Programs were added during the 1984-1985 school years and our Parish preschool was incorporated during the 2012-2013 school year. The majority of the students who attend our school are from Plum Borough and Penn Hills. As a result of continued growth in the area, the prospects for the continuation of our school's growth are positive... Since opening our doors we have also maintained a strong tradition of academic excellence. Our students consistently score two to three grade levels above their current grade on standardized tests..
