Adam Hamrick

Dr. Hamrick attended Lincoln Memorial University - DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a proud graduate of our inaugural Family Medicine residency class. He currently practices full time in the Emergency Medicine Department at SBRMC where he has rapidly advanced into leadership roles and has been provided additional training as an "Administrative Fellow." He is a dedicated teacher of our residents and medical students, providing extensive training in procedures and Point-of-Care Ultrasound. His hobbies include (in no particular order) running, skiing, spending time with his kids, and making his wife happy.

Bruce Lovins

Dr. Lovins earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1994. His post graduate medical education included internship and residency in Family Medicine at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Benning, Georgia, and a Hospital Medicine Fellowship at the University of Alabama. During his more than 25-year career in the military, he held multiple leadership positions as well as serving three tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to retiring from the military, he served as faculty for the Family Medicine Residency at Fort Benning, Georgia, directing the adult inpatient teaching service. Following his career in military medicine, he worked as a hospitalist in multiple locations throughout Alabama including three years as a nocturnist. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Lovins number one hobby is road biking.

Carrie Gray

Dr. Gray completed her medical education at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a Family Medicine Internship at the Naval Hospital Pensacola, FL, and her Family Medicine Residency at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. She served as a faculty family physician and medical student coordinator for four years at the Naval Hospital Pensacola prior to joining our team at South Baldwin. She enjoys practicing both inpatient and outpatient medicine and taking care of patients of all ages. In 2023, she completed a Fellowship in Faculty Development at the University of North Carolina. Her favorite hobbies include skiing, playing tennis, going to Disney with the family and playing board games.

Danielle Crowson

Leah Soley

Dr. Soley attended medical school at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. She has been a part of resident and medical student education for nearly 15 years. While stationed at the Naval Hospital Pensacola, FL from 2009-2013, she served as resident team leader, associate program director and medical student coordinator for the Family Medicine residency program. Following that, she served three years as residency team leader and department head at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL. Following a truly diverse 25-year career in military medicine, Dr. Soley returned to a career in academic medicine and is teaching the next generation of family physicians at South Baldwin. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Her hobbies include delicious food and travel.

Liza Hamrick

Dr. "Liza" Hamrick is a 2018 graduate of the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. She was a member of the inaugural SBRMC Family Medicine Residency Class where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Hamrick has completed a Faculty Development Fellowship through the University of Alabama, Birmingham Department of Family and Community Medicine. Her teaching passions include Point-of-Care Ultrasound and care of children. Her number one hobby is spending time with her husband and two young children.

Timothy Linder

Dr. Linder graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed a Family Medicine Residency in Jackson, Tennessee and was in private practice for 37 years, frequently serving as preceptor for medical students and residents. He has been actively involved in the American Academy of Family Physicians and has served in numerous leadership roles including President of the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians. He was named the Family Physician of the year in 2004 and received the Distinguished Service Award in 2014, both from the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians. He relishes teaching residents and students with special interests in Behavioral Medicine, Wellness, coding and contracts. His personal hobbies include reading, golfing, fishing and loving life!

Timothy Mott

Dr. Mott graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Naval Hospital Pensacola, FL. He also completed a Fellowship in Faculty Development at the University of North Carolina. While in the Navy, Dr. Mott served in multiple leadership positions, most notably including Family Medicine Residency Program Director at the Naval Hospital Pensacola, and Family Medicine Specialty Leader to the Surgeon General of the Navy. He deployed in support of both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Mott is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors, and holds an Associate Professorship with the Uniformed Services University. In 2014, he was recognized as the top family physician across all military services by the Uniformed Services Academy of Family Physicians. He is past Board Chair and VP of Publications/Executive Editor for the Family Physicians Inquiries Network, an international consortium supporting evidence-based inquiry and scholarship in Family Medicine programs. Dr. Mott has more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, has won multiple teaching awards, and has published and lectured widely on various topics including leadership, racism and health disparities, and evidence-based medicine. Dr. Mott relishes ski trips with his family and friends and is an avid biker, jam band enthusiast and amateur pizzaiolo.
