Bill Chrysler

Bill joined Southworth in 2022 as the VP of Operations, where he works with the General Managers and oversees the day-to-day functions of the Clubs. Working his way up from a golf maintenance grounds crew to managing operations, Bill brought his talents to golf clubs across the country in Montana, Washington, Arizona, and Minnesota. Over the past 30 years, Bill has led the acquisition, development, and operation of golf and recreational communities. Today, Bill oversees the Club-level operations at all of the Southworth properties.

Eleanor Brown

Greg Sherwood

Greg joined the company (formerly Willowbend Development) in 1996. Since that time, Greg has construction-managed some of the industry's most noted projects, including Liberty National Golf Club on New York Bay, in Jersey City, N.J. In addition to Greg's accomplished record of building golf courses and golf communities, he began his golf career serving in various Golf Professional capacities at the Hyatt Cerromar Beach, Hyatt Dorado Beach, Berwind Country Club, El Conquistador and the Rio Mar Country Club all located in Puerto Rico. He was also at the Carambola Golf Course located in St. Croix, U.S.V.I. Today, Greg oversees all of Southworth's club, course and hotel operations. He is a Class A Member of the PGA & an active member of the Golf Course Superintendent's Association of America.

Joseph Deitch - Chairman

A serial entrepreneur, Joe is the chairman of Commonwealth Financial Network, which he founded in 1979 and which has grown to $250B in assets under management (AUM). Joe is also the founder of The Elevate Prize, a global organization dedicated to dramatically amplifying the impact of innovators, activists, and problem-solvers; catalyzing positive change; and ultimately awakening the hero in all of us. Kelly Meredith - CHRO

Kelly joined Southworth in 2019 in a newly created role to help drive strategy and implementation of Human Resources functions across the portfolio. Since 2000, Kelly has held leadership roles from retail to hospitality operations before making the step into HR and talent development. Her years of experience at Walt Disney World, the Waldorf Astoria New York, and Highgate Hotels have taught her to always make business success a priority with a unique mindset: customers first, employees always. A creative, innovative thinker who describes herself as a "service obsessed, culture fanatic, talent champion, developer & cheerleader," Kelly is an adaptive, dynamic trainer and teacher at heart with a unique ability to design and develop effective, scalable solutions for all levels of the organization. Kelly is a recipient of the 2019 Workforce Magazine "HR Game Changers Award", is Executive Management Certified (EMC), a Certified Corporate Trainer, a Certified PI Practitioner, a frequent Forbes contributing author, and has an Organization Management & Leadership PhD.

Lisa Hultquist - CMO

Lisa joined the Southworth team in August 2022 as the Chief Marketing Officer. A performance-driven marketing and branding leader with over 25 years of experience, Lisa has a track record for achievement in destination, resort, and real estate environments. She has overseen successful marketing and communications campaigns for iconic travel brands including Timbers Resorts, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Kessler's Grand Bohemian Hotels, NASA's Kennedy Space Center, and Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. With expertise in "placemaking", she has branded and launched new resorts and resort amenities including spa, golf, and culinary experiences. She has a bachelor's degree in communications and journalism from the University of Delaware and certificates in programs from The Wharton School and UC Berkley. Today, Lisa oversees all of Southworth Development's corporate and club-level marketing initiatives.

Matthew Deitch

Matt first worked for Southworth Development as a waiter at Willowbend Country Club, at age 17. Since then, he has developed a great understanding of - and affinity for - the club and resort community industry. Matt received his MBA at Wharton, before working at the Boston Consulting Group as a consultant and project leader. He now maintains an active roster of roles, serving as Managing Partner of Southworth Development, Principal & Vice Chair of Commonwealth Financial Network, Lead Board Member of Advisor360, and a Managing Partner of Claridge Venture Partners, where he oversees the fund investment portfolio.

Peter Alpert - Chief Legal Officer

Joined Southworth Development in 2006. Prior to Southworth, Peter was Executive Vice President, General Counsel for Willowbend Development. While at Willowbend, Peter's primary area of responsibility related to the development of new projects, including Liberty National GC and Starr Pass Country Club & Spa. Before joining Willowbend, Peter spent 12 years focused on development activities with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, then-owner of the Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis, Four Points, and W Hotel brands, and its predecessor, ITT Sheraton Corporation, leaving with the position of Vice President, Associate General Counsel. Peter started his career in the real estate group of the Boston law firm then known as Palmer & Dodge. Peter is a graduate of Brown University and earned a J.D. from Columbia Law School and an L.L.M. in taxation from Boston University.

Todd Grotstein

Todd joined Southworth as the Chief Sales Officer in late 2022. In his role, Todd partners closely with the marketing team to deliver a single message to prospects and buyers about what Southworth and our communities stand for, and the incredible value that we deliver to all our community members. Todd also manages the on-property sales teams, helping ensure that we build strong teams with exceptional sales skills and closing abilities, across properties. For more than 25 years, Todd has successfully led the sales and marketing efforts of some of the largest and most prestigious development projects in the United States and Mexico. Prior to joining Southworth, Todd was SVP of Sales & Marketing for Meriwether Companies, responsible for Coral Mountain in La Quinta, California, as well as the Aspen Club in Aspen, Colorado. He has worked with developers and resort brands such as the Four Seasons, Greg Norman Development, Rosewood Hotels, Dine (MX), and Fairmont Hotels, both as a day-to-day operations level director and as a consultant.

Tommy Southworth - President

Tommy first worked for Southworth Development as a cart boy at Willowbend Country Club, at age 14. His many childhood roles for the Company included greenskeeper, bartender, pool manager, and banquet set-up. Later, he worked in project capacities at both Machrihanish Dunes and The Abaco Club. Tommy received his AB from Harvard College before joining Needham & Company as an Investment Banking Analyst; ultimately becoming a Vice President. Tommy then joined Blue Star Innovation Partners, a start-up private equity firm, as a founding Partner, before returning to Southworth as CFO, and ultimately President.

Troy Miller

Troy Miller joined Southworth in 2021 as the Chief Development Officer. He received his MLA from The University of Georgia, a BA in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina Asheville, and a certificate in Hospitality Real Estate Investments from Cornell University. Prior to joining Southworth, Troy led development for real estate developer and asset management firm Bennett Hospitality, as well as golf-course community developer Landmark Land Company, where he also served as the Director of Golf Design. Troy is essential to elevating Southworth's residential and amenity projects.
