Emma Fisher

Our founder and director Emma Fisher, has worked as a veterinary surgeon in the pet travel industry since 2012. Emma and her team are passionate about animal welfare and have extensive experience in general veterinary care, pet travel, and animal exportation. Emma graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 1997. She has worked in various settings including as a companion animal vet in Bedfordshire, an equine practice and racetrack vet in Spain, and her current veterinary role at Heathrow Airport. Following 7 years involvement in the travel of animals, Emma founded Travel Vet where she particularly enjoys her role assisting and reassuring owners to make their pets' travel as comfortable and safe as possible. When Emma's not seen with her stethoscope around Heathrow she enjoys family time, walking in the countryside with her Podenco rescue dog called Bonnie,and horse riding.

Hugh Fortescue

Hugh graduated from Bristol in 2020. He then spent time as an official veterinarian working with the FSA, specialising in welfare and public health before starting at Travel vet in May 2021. When not working Hugh enjoys spending time in the countryside, especially fishing. "
