As part of the senior Executive Management Team, Bill is responsible for leading the development, coordination and delivery of Volvo CE's global corporate communication strategy, both internally and externally. Bill, 50, is based at the company's global headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. He is from Scotland and holds a degree in Law. He has experience in senior corporate roles both within the Volvo Group and outside the company. He originally joined Volvo in 1998, where he held a number of senior positions in Europe, Asia and the Americas including Global Director Internal Communications, Global Director External Communications and Vice President of Corporate Communication in Region Americas. From 2001 to 2006, Bill also held the position of Global Director External Communications at Volvo Group Trucks Technology. Additionally, during the integration of UD Trucks into the Volvo Group, he was responsible for Integration Communication based in Tokyo, Japan.

Carl Slotte is Senior Vice President of Sales Europe and a member of the Executive Management Team. Reporting to Melker Jernberg, President of Volvo CE, Carl has held the role of Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales Region Europe since January 2020. He is responsible for meeting the diverse needs of customers in the strategically important Europe region and strengthening Volvo CE's market position. Carl was born and raised in Åbo (Turku) in southwest Finland. He attended Åbo Akademi, graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor's degree in Finance. He then briefly worked for an accountancy firm before joining the Volvo Group in 1995. Prior to becoming SVP of Sales Region Europe, Carl held a number of leadership positions at Volvo CE. Most recently, he was President of Sales Region EMEA - a role he had held since October 2016. Before that, Carl was SVP Global Key Accounts and VP of Sales Region EMEA Hub North. Carl has also been Managing Director of Volvo CE Russia (Volvo Vostok ZAO) and Managing Director of Volvo CE Finland OY. "Throughout my career to date, I would say I'm most proud of being able to lead organizations through change," he says. "This has occurred several times; the most challenging and professionally rewarding being when, as a young dealer MD, I successfully led a dealership through three ownership changes in four years. Another highlight is when my team and I successfully steered Volvo CE Russia through the economic crisis in 2009, when the market plummeted by 92%." In his free time, Carl likes to spend time with his family and friends. His hobbies include boating, playing golf and hunting.

Melker Jernberg became President of Volvo Construction Equipment and Member of the Volvo Group Executive Board on January 1 st, 2018. Born in Orsa, Sweden in 1968, Mr. Jernberg has worked in a number of roles in the automotive, steel and powder metallurgy industries. A graduate of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm with an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Jernberg joined Scania AB in 1989, where he remained for 22 years, ultimately becoming Senior Vice President with responsibility for Scania's Bus and Coach business area. In 2011, Mr. Jernberg joined Swedish steel manufacturer SSAB where, as Executive Vice President, he was responsible for running the company's European, Middle Eastern and African businesses. His most recent position prior to joining Volvo was as CEO and President at Höganäs AB, a Sweden-based metals powder manufacturer, a position he assumed in 2014. Married and with three sons, Mr. Jernberg is a car enthusiast and enjoys a lifelong love of skiing.

Nina holds the role as Senior Vice President Legal & Compliance since January 2020, having the overall responsibility for legal and compliance matters within Volvo CE. This includes providing efficient legal support to Volvo CE's operations globally and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, driving best practices and facilitating execution of business strategies. Reporting to company president Melker Jernberg, Nina is also a member of the Executive Management Team. Prior to taking up her current position at Volvo CE Nina was since 2014 Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Legal at AB Volvo. Here she was overall responsible for stock market compliance for the Volvo Group and for ensuring legal support in merger and acquisition projects and to the Volvo Group's Real Estate function. She was also responsible for the Group's legal department in India. She joined the Volvo Group in 2007, as Corporate Legal Counsel at AB Volvo. Nina spent the first five years of her career in private practice at the Vinge Law firm, and two years at property company Wallenstam AB, both in Sweden. Nina holds a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Reporting to company president Melker Jernberg, Philippe is also a member of the Executive Management Team (EMT). Philippe, 46, began his career at Volvo in 1997. He is now a recognized leader with solid experience in general management and in finance, and a deep knowledge of the commercial vehicles industry. Initially joining Volvo CE, he subsequently held a number of senior management positions in different divisions within the Volvo Group. His most recent role prior to rejoining Volvo CE was as Senior Vice President Finance at the Trucks Sales & Marketing organization in EMEA, based in Sweden. In addition to Sweden, Philippe's international career at Volvo has also included periods working in France and the US. Stephen Roy is Senior Vice President of Sales Region Americas and a member of the Executive Management Team. Stephen Roy has held the role of Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales Americas since January 2020. He is responsible for meeting the diverse needs of customers in the strategically important North American region and strengthening Volvo CE's market position. He is also a member of the Volvo CE Executive Management Team, representing both North America and Latin America, reporting to Melker Jernberg, President of Volvo CE. Prior to this Stephen has, since 2016, been President, Sales Region Americas at Volvo CE) responsible for strengthening Volvo CE's market position in North and Latin America. He is based at the company's sales and production facility in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Before joining Volvo CE, Roy held senior management positions in Volvo Financial Services and the Volvo Group's North American commercial truck operations. As President of Mack Trucks, he helped drive profitability and increased market share in core segments. While Senior Vice President of Aftermarket and Soft Products, he was in charge of field services and led the development of technology and processes that optimize customer uptime. Roy joined the Volvo Group as Vice President of Business Development at Volvo Financial Services in 2007, following sales positions at Cargill Leasing Corp. and Navistar. Stephen Roy has an MBA degree from Wake Forest University, North Carolina, and a bachelor of science and arts degree in Agricultural Mechanization Technology from the University of Georgia.

Tomas Kuta is Senior Vice President of Sales Asia at Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) Signifying the strategic importance of the growing Asia market, Tomas Kuta was appointed Senior Vice President of Sales Asia at Volvo CE from January 2020. The former Senior Vice President of Sales, a global role he has thrived in since 2016, is now based in Shanghai, China, and will oversee all sales functions across Asia. Responsible for developing and driving the sales strategy for the region, Tomas reports to Volvo CE President Melker Jernberg. As Senior Vice President of Sales from 2016 to 2019, Tomas oversaw the company's global sales strategy, all sales regions, key customer accounts and retail development. Designed to develop Volvo CE's profitable market share growth, Tomas has played a vital role in growing the company's business and distributions across global markets. Prior to this role, he spent five years as President of Volvo CE's Sales Region EMEA (Europe-Middle East-Africa) organization and four years as head of Volvo CE's global Customer Solutions organization. From 2005-2008 Tomas was based in Moscow as President of Volvo CE's Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian sales organization. This posting coincided with a period of rapid growth in the region, helping deliver consecutive annual growth rates of over 100%. Throughout his career at Volvo Tomas has served on several boards, including SDLG Joint Venture Board, Volvo Parts Corporation and Volvo Ukraine. He has also acted as chairman of the Construction Equipment Committee at the Association of European Businesses in Russia. Prior to Volvo, he was Manager Director of Apple Computer Incorporated in Czech and Slovak Republics, based in Prague. In this role, he was responsible for a complete importer operation. Tomas speaks fluent English, Czech, Swedish and Russian. He is an accomplished skier and enjoys travelling and exploring countries and cultures around the world.
