Scientific groups at European XFEL operate and manage the facility's instruments, assist users with technical aspects of their research, work on research projects in their own right, and further develop the facility... The construction and operation of the European XFEL has been entrusted to a non-profit limited liability company under German law, the European X-Ray Free-Electron Laser Facility GmbH (European XFEL GmbH)... Due to the fact that we are a goverment-funded organization, we are not allowed to accept other terms and conditions than these.
