Jeffrey S. Arons

Jeffrey S. Arons is a Partner and founding member of Arons & Arons, LLC. Jeffrey is a skilled litigator handling a wide range of practice areas for the firm in both fields of civil and criminal litigation. Jeffrey graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He attended Seton Hall School of Law on a scholarship and took a strong interest in civil procedure, criminal defense, negotiation/mediations, business associations, and torts. Jeffrey was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2006 and the New York Bar in 2008. Prior to entering into private practice, Jeffrey served as a clerk He subsequently clerked for the Honorable Peter J. Vazquez, presiding judge for Hudson County's Criminal Division, acquiring invaluable knowledge and insight into the workings of the criminal court system. In 2006, Jeffrey joined, his father's long standing solo practice in South Orange, New Jersey where he began handling civil and criminal cases for the office appearing regularly in Court. He broadened his early courtroom experience by becoming certified as a "pool attorney" for the State of New Jersey where he was assigned criminal and juvenile defense cases representing individuals facing all levels of criminal charges. Jeffrey credits this early courtroom experience as enabling him to expand the firm's criminal practice while broadening his expertise in civil litigation matters such as workers compensation claims, landlord/tenant disputes, business litigation and insurance law. In 2008, Jeffrey and Scott founded Arons & Arons, LLC., striving to continue Scott's long-established approach to providing quality legal services while modernizing the practice to meet the demands of today. Jeffrey currently handles matters in many areas of law for the office while leading the Firm's Workers Compensation Section, Criminal Practice Section, Securities Law Section, and Insurance Law Section. Jeffrey has also spoken as a panelist at CLE seminars for Landlord/Tenant law run by the Essex County Bar Association. He takes pride in his ability to help his clients regardless of the issue at hand. He is incredibly thankful for the many clients who have recommended him to their friends, family and colleagues over the years. Jeffrey spends his time outside the office and courtroom with his wife and two girls. Scott Arons

Scott Arons received a bachelor of science economics from the Wharton School of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania where he majored in accounting. Scott attended Stetson University college of law and received his Juris doctorate in 1979. He then received a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Alan A. Rockoff and the Honorable Joseph Bradshaw in the Superior Court of New Jersey in Middlesex County. Scott was admitted to the bars in NJ and PA. In 1983, he established a firm in South Orange where he started representing property owners and managers in landlord/tenant proceedings and also took on numerous personal injury cases, family matters and real estate closings for people in the community. Scott's office quickly grew and soon his office was representing hundreds of individuals and businesses throughout New jersey. Scott made a name for himself as an aggressive litigator, tirelessly advocating for all of his clients no matter what type of case he was handling. In 2006, his son, Jeffrey S. Arons joined Scott's practice as an associate following his judicial clerkship. In 2008 Scott and Jeffrey became partners and formed Arons & Arons, LLC., further expanding the office's practice areas and ability to help more people businesses. Today, Scott has proudly maintained his practice in South Orange for over 30 years, counseling thousands of clients in many areas of the law; including landlord/tenant matters, personal injury, general civil/criminal litigation, family matters, and real estate transactions. He continues to enjoy practicing law and is thankful for the thousands of people he has been able to help over the years.
