Anthony Pomorski

Anthony Pomorski, Social Studies, graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1999 with a BS in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management. Ever passionate about History and yearning to have a career in which he could make a difference Mr. Pomorski returned to higher education in 2006, earning a Teaching Certificate in Secondary Social Studies in 2009, and a Master's Degree in Middle and Secondary School Instruction in 2010, from Edinboro University. Mr. Pomorski is further certified as a Middle Level Mathematics instructor. In his spare time Mr. Pomorski enjoys studying World War II History and historical tabletop gaming

Christoper Fortin

Job Titles:
  • Director of Pupil Services
Christoper Fortin, Director of Pupil Services/School Psychologist, received his B.S. in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Pittsburgh and his M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from Edinboro University of PA. He is a Certified Pennsylvania School Psychologist. Chris completed his Educational Leadership and K-12 Prinicipal Certification Program through Edinboro University.

Dr. Renee Gordon

Job Titles:
  • Chief Administrative Officer
Dr. Renee Gordon, Chief Administrative Officer, received her B.A. in Spanish and Marketing and M.S.Ed. in School and Agency Counseling at St. Bonaventure University. She has completed certifications in School Counseling, English as a Second Language, Educational Leadership and the Superintendent Letter of Eligibility. In 2014, Renee received her Ph.D. in Organizational Learning and Leadership from Gannon University after conducting a research study on the Bhutanese refugees in the area. Additionally, Renee is an adjunct professor in the doctoral program at Gannon University and a member of the Advisory Board for the Pennsylvania Coalition for Public Charters Schools. Dr. Gordon joined the organization in 2004 and received the Staff Member of the Year Award at the Charter School of Excellence in 2007.

Jovan Harris

Job Titles:

Jovan Harris, Personal Development, earned a bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education from Edinboro University in 2005. He also earned his M.Ed Special Education from Edinboro University 2013. Mr. Harris has been working with CSE since the 2014-2015 School year, currently teaching in his second year at the Discovery Center as the personal development teacher. Prior to the 2014 school year Mr. Harris worked with Perseus House inc. in the alternative education program. He also has eight years' experience working a Sarah Reed Children's Center as a teacher. Mr. Harris loves teaching at CSE because he believes in the mission of the school and loves teaching the amazing, diverse population of his students.

Leslie Soltis

Leslie Soltis, Mathematics, earned her Doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University. She is certified to teach mathematics, grades 7-12 in Pennsylvania. Throughout her 25 years in the field of education, her titles have included middle-level math teacher, assistant professor, content author, developmental editor, mathematics teacher educator, school director, and mathematics specialist. Dr. Soltis believes all students can learn mathematics and is very excited to be working with the students and teachers at CSE. In her spare time, she enjoys working in her flower/vegetable gardens, completing home improvement projects, doing needlepoint, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Amanda Hanas

Job Titles:
  • Executive Administrative Assistant
Amanda Hanas, Executive Administrative Assistant, attended both Mercyhurst Prep and Mercyhurst College. She ran track and field and was also a member of the French and Drama club. Mrs. Hanas has been a staff member at the Charter School of Excellence since 2005. She was an integral member of the Leadership Center when it first opened its doors, then moved on to help open the Skills Center. Mrs. Hanas is back at Leadership Center where she is currently the Executive Administrative Assistant to the CAO. Mrs. Hanas earned Staff Member of the Year in 2009 and in her spare time enjoys reading, movies, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Heather Young

Job Titles:
  • Data Management Supervisor
Heather Young, Data Management Supervisor, received her B.A in Developmental Psychology from Edinboro University in 2005. Upon graduation, she worked as a counselor for at-risk youth before joining the CSE team in 2007. Heather worked at the Hamilton Center before transferring to the Skills Center when it opened in 2010. She is the 2011 recipient of the Staff Member of the Year award.

Mrs. Jenifer Dildine

  • Central Enrollment Coordinator
Jenifer Dildine, Central Enrollment Coordinator, has been employed with CSE since 2000. Mrs. Dildine loves CSE because we truly care about our students and do what we say we are going to do. We are a great team and work above any other district out there. Mrs. Dildine's alma mater is Gannon University. Her advice to all students is," Never Give Up" as well as," Each day is a new day. " At CSE, we truly believe that each day is a new day and there is always a fresh start each day. She received the Staff Member of the Year Award in 2005.

Ms. Jessica LaFlamme

Job Titles:
  • Teacher
Ms. Jessica LaFlamme, Science & Special Education, earned her Master's Degree Special Education from Edinboro University. She is certified in Special Education, Pre-Kindergarten-8 th grade, and Regular Education, Kindergarten-6 th grade. She also holds a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a major in Theater and at times you will find her on the stage here in Erie. Prior to coming to CSE she has taught Pre-Kindergarten, Learning Support, worked as a Therapeutic Support Staff, and was a SAP Drug and Alcohol Counselor and community liaison. She currently has five cats and two huskies. In her free time, she enjoys racing sailboats, running and hiking with her huskies, spending time with her son, and can often be found under a pile of cats reading a book.
