Our story started with a simple idea - how to optimize the use of space for small beverage containers, more specifically PET bottles. We started experimenting with different mock ups made of paper and cardboard. During the countless tests we realized that we can assemble plastic and paper, and create a sturdy container, without bonding the components permanently together - paper to create the strong weight-bearing structure and plastic to contain and protect the liquids. By doing this we minimized the use of plastic and maximized the bio-degradable and compostable materials, enabling cost reduction, standard recycling and bio-degradation under natural conditions. Then we developed the production process and equipment to inexpensively produce and fill the containers. We named this technology 3Epak®
