Charlane was a Montessori child from 14 months through the 8th grade growing up in her family's Montessori schools on the East Coast. Her family schools were visited by Dr. Mario Montessori on numerous occasions. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and has a Masters of Education in Montessori Integrative Learning and an Association Montessori International Primary (3-6) diploma. Charlane founded several Montessori schools in Texas. She has been Head of School for Montessori schools that served Nido through High School. She has over 20 years in private school administration. Charlane was a founding member of the Montessori Institute of North Texas, an Association Montessori Institute training center and continues to serve on the Board of Directors. Her daughter is a Sophomore in high school and was also a Montessori child. Charlane has traveled the world and enjoys volunteering for non-profits in the North Texas region. She continues to be involved in education and just completed the Leadership NISD program through Northwest ISD. She loves to spend time with family and friends. She is excited to join the Wonderland Montessori community and serve the children, staff and parents at the Trophy Club campus.
Get ready to get wild! We will focus on animals and their habitats. Your child will discover the world of backyard birds, make art inspired by mammals, explore the life cycle of amphibians, and journey into the depths of the ocean to learn more about sea creatures and marine life. They won't want to miss this animal adventure!

Kelsey Trunk holds an AMI Administrators certificate and joined Wonderland in early 2019; first at the Flower Mound location, and then working at other locations as well. Kelsey is now on the corporate team as the Admissions and Marketing Director for the Wonderland Group of Schools. Always having had a passion for child development, she was first introduced to the teachings of Maria Montessori as a new parent in 2008. Her children attended an AMI Recognized Montessori school from toddler through primary where Kelsey first served her local Montessori community for over 7 years. Kelsey has worked as both support staff for Montessori guides and as an administrator focusing on strategic growth and development. Kelsey is a native Texan, born and raised in the DFW area. She and her family moved to Trophy Club in 2018. In her personal life, Kelsey wishes she spoke multiple languages, reads an exorbitant number of books, and pretends to be a morning person.
Kim Harrell joined Wonderland Montessori in June of 2020. Before coming to Wonderland, she spent 28 years in public education working with students, and then in office administration. In the spring of 2021, she earned her Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) certification in Montessori Sports and her Texas State Child Care Director certification. She is currently completing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Management. When not at Wonderland, she loves to spend time running and with her family, especially her grandson, who attends one of the Wonderland Montessori schools.
It's time to get going! We will be transported to the world of all things on the go. This camp about planes, trains, and automobiles will use tactile materials to discover what makes vehicles move. Children will encounter and hear stories about many modes of transportation. Afterward, they will use their imagination and art supplies to create!
Saira Asif has Bachelor and Masters degrees in Child Development. She has an MACTE accredited diploma from Montessori Teachers College Toronto. Having vast experience working in childcare centers as a Montessori consultant, trainer, teacher, and manager, she has worked in the United States, Canada, Qatar, and Pakistan. Saira stays updated in Montessori training by keeping up with her professional development courses yearly. She views the Montessori approach as education that is natural, logical, and works for all children, allowing children the opportunity to discover and follow their interests. Saira has two children who attended Montessori schools and are successful in their careers. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities.

Sara Wehring (Pronounced "Wearing") has served as the Licensing Coordinator for the Wonderland Montessori Schools since May of 2023. Sara graduated from Texas State University Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Child & Family Development. She interned and volunteered at Greater San Marcos Youth Council's Children Shelter before becoming a professional nanny. Sara later worked for a Child Placing Agency for four and a half years as a case manager and Assistant Regional Director, before becoming the statewide Compliance Director. Sara's career is diverse, including a stint in construction, but she is always drawn back to working with children and families. Her previous career milestones include leading her team through accreditation, being provided the opportunity to rewrite the agency's training curriculum, and leading a quality control pilot program. Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with family, crocheting, knitting, binge reading, watching blockbuster flops, and attempting to raise stubborn guinea pigs.
