The American Indian Action Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to defending the civil, legal, ecological, economic and political rights of our country's 5.2 million Native Americans, which have often been overlooked or disregarded outright. Created to address an identified set of pressing needs in Indian Country, our organization's key areas of focus are tribal sovereignty and civil rights, mental health and suicide prevention, mascotization and self-image, and education and policy. The fund runs educational campaigns, provides financial support to organizations across the country supporting key objectives of the fund and takes on other strategic initiatives...
