Brendan O'Neil, MSW began working in youth programming in 1996 and received his Master's in Social Work in 2008. He is an honored inductee (2007, Summa Cum Laude) of the Nu Tau Chapter of the Phi Alpha Honor Society for Social Workers. With a clinical background in therapeutic wilderness, residential, outpatient, and psychiatric settings, his experiences include service as an educator, residential therapist, psychiatric crisis clinician, and 10 years as a program administrator in the directorship at a well known therapeutic boarding school for adolescent boys. Brendan has an extensive background in therapeutic experiential education program development, facilitation, and management and brings clinical expertise in adolescent development, young adult development, family and systems theory, the strengths perspective, and cognitive behavioral therapies such as dialectical behavioral therapy and rational emotive therapy. Brendan has contributed consistently to the Social Work field as an adjunct professor at his alma mater since 2010. He is currently pursuing an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Education and Human Development at Lesley University, Cambridge MA.
Jonathan Bruno, M.Ed., Ed.D. is a pre-K through 12 certified special education teacher in MA and CT. He is certified in history and ELL (English language learning) in MA. Jon is an international baccalaureate of history and the theory of knowledge. He has 15 plus years in urban and rural education working in the Boston Public Schools and more recently in CT where he serves as the special education director for a multi-grade level public middle and high school system. Jon has developed and facilitated specialized curriculum for students with special needs and currently serves as the vice chair for a regional Massachusetts school committee. Jon earned a BA in History in 2004 at UMass Boston with a minor in Psychology and a minor in African American Studies. He earned a teaching certificate in Special Education, 2006, and a Master's in Special Education from Northeastern University, 2008. Jon completed his Doctorate in Educational Leadership (curriculum and development) at Northeastern University in 2019.
