Amy Barber

Amy Barber joined the credit union's Supervisory Committee in April of 2021. She is currently retired but was previously employed for over 30 years with Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation (National Grid). At the time of retirement, Amy held the position of Eastern Division Manager of Integrated Resources and Budget. Other positions within Niagara Mohawk encompassed Government Affairs, Public Relations, Consumer Advocate, and Schenectady Area Manager. Subsequent to retirement from Niagara Mohawk, she was employed as Lead Analyst - Real Estate for New York State Electric and Gas (Iberdrola) in the Mechanicville Division. Amy is a graduate of Russell Sage College in Troy, where she earned a Master's Degree in human resource management. She has been active in many community organizations, serving as Chair of the Board for the Commission on Economic Opportunity in Rensselaer County, Schenectady County Chamber of Commerce, Rensselaer County Red Cross Board, and the Schenectady County Economic Development Commission. Amy was Chair of the Supervisory Committee for Niagara Mohawk Troy Employees Federal Credit Union. A former Rotarian, Amy also was awarded Woman of the Year by the Troy Business and Professional Women. She currently serves as a VITA Volunteer for Captain Community Human Services in Clifton Park. She resides in Clifton Park with her husband Stephen.

Becky Daniels

Becky is CAP COM's Director of Community Engagement and a great advocate for the Capital Region. In addition to the CAP COM Cares Foundation, Becky is involved with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Schenectady City School District Education Foundation, the Albany Symphony, and the Junior League of Albany.

Beth King

Elizabeth (Beth) King joined our Board of Directors team, serving on the Legislative Review Committee. She currently serves as Director of Member Benefits at the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA). Beth was promoted to this position after spending three years as CSEA's Director of Purchasing. Prior to joining CSEA, Beth worked for over 17 years as an Account Representative for Business Partners Forms and Systems, Inc. During her time with Business Partners, Beth was named key employee to the President not only managing her sales accounts but assisting with accounting activities, overseeing customer service operations, and creating strategic plans. Beth is a graduate of Siena College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. She is an active member of Purchasing Power's Public Sector Advisory Board and is a past member of the Print Services Distribution Association as well as a past council member for Faith Lutheran Church. Beth has two grown daughters Lindsay and Halle and currently resides in Brunswick, NY with her husband Joe.

Bill Fitzpatrick

Bill Fitzpatrick retired from General Electric after 34 years as Resin Department Leader. He began his Board service as a Member of Silicone employees Federal Credit Union (prior to its merger with CAP COM) in 2005. Bill has served on the Board of Directors since that time. Bill was born and raised in Troy, New York. He attended Catholic Central High School and Hudson Valley Community College. Serving four (4) years in the Air Force and a Vietnam veteran. He held the rank of Staff Sergeant and was a crew chief for the DC-9s and Fighters. Bill has been married to his wife Joan for 48 years and has 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

Brian Hirsch

Brian Sheldrick

Brian brings 15 years of commercial banking experience to CAP COM. He specializes in structuring intricate real estate transactions on properties nationwide. For the eight years prior to joining the credit union, Brian served as managing director for the largest private banking firm in the Northeast. Prior to that, he headed up a regional mortgage banking firm headquartered in Albany.

Chip Lawrence

Chip Lawrence is currently employed by Verizon, where he began his employment in 1995. He joined the credit union that same year. Chip attended The University at Albany, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1995. He earned his Associate Certificate in Project Management in 2009 from The George Washington University of Business and became a certified Project Management Professional in 2009 by The Project Management Institute. Chip has been a credit union volunteer for 12 years, during which he served as a member of the Board of Managers, and on the Executive, ALCO and Legislative Review committees.

Chris McKenna - Chairman

Christopher D'Ambro

Chris came to CAP COM with extensive experience in banking, specifically in commercial sales and credit. He is cultivating new and existing business relationships and is pleased to be able to help local businesses grow and prosper.

Cody Chaszczewski

For nearly a decade, Cody has supported CAP COM's business members in various capacities. Prior to joining our Business Banking team in April, Cody served as a Commercial Underwriter for four years. He is committed to serving smaller, community-based, family-oriented businesses throughout the Capital Region. Cody takes great pride in understanding your business and your vision for its future. He is dedicated to helping you achieve those goals.

Cori Milby

Dan Fruscio

Dan began his career with CAP COM in 2007. He started out as a Member Service Associate, transitioning to Branch Manager of the Latham and Niskayuna branches. Most recently, he served as Branch Manager at the Headquarters location. Dan offers a wealth of knowledge about business banking and lending solutions, attending to the needs of small- to medium-size businesses in the Capital Region.

Danielle Bradt

Danielle began her career in banking in 2002 where she started out as a teller at a large Financial Institution. Danielle has been employed in the Commercial Department at CAP COM since 2017. Harold Horning

Harold Horning has been a credit union member since 1965 and was the CEO of legacy CAP COM FCU from 1984 to 1995. He has been a volunteer with the organization for 49 years, serving on the Board of Directors since 1974, and as Chair of the Board (of legacy CAP COM) from 1997 to 2000. Harold has served on many credit union volunteer committees. He retired form NYNEX in 1984 after 31 years of employment and is an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America as well as the Directory Alumni Council and is involved in various golf leagues. Harold was most recently awarded with the NAFCU Volunteer of the Year award for his dedication and commitment to the industry and credit union as a whole.

John Ericson

John Ericson is a retired Detective from the crime scene investigation unit for Schenectady Police Department, where he served for 25 years. John attended Hudson Valley Community College Zone 5 Law Enforcement Academy, graduating as a New York State Certified Police Officer. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children named Natalie and Zachary. John volunteers his time at the Ancient Order of Hibernians where he currently serves as their Board President. In his spare time, John owns Little John's BBQ which takes up his weekends during the spring, fall, and summer. He has been a member of the credit union since 1982 and has served on many committees over the years. His service as a Board of Director's member began with his appointment in 2015.

Kenneth Hahn

Kenneth Hahn has been a credit union volunteer (for legacy SEFCU) for 35 years. He is a retired civil engineer from the New York State Department of Transportation. Ken served as Vice Chairman of the Board from 1990 to 1993 and as Chairman from 1994 to 2005. He currently sits on the Bylaws, Governance, and CEO Compensation Committees. Ken says he volunteers for its intrinsic rewards, noting "My service has permitted me to participate in making decisions that contribute positively to the financial wellbeing of many individuals and families. It's very satisfying."

Kristen Beaulieu

Leonard Smith

Leonard Smith has been a member of the credit union's Board of Directors since 1984. He was appointed Secretary of the Board in 1997. Previously, Len held the position of Assistant Secretary/Treasurer. In addition to his service on the Board, he has served on several committees including the Delinquency, Human Resources, Strategic Issues, Asset/Liability Management, Supervisory, Community Support, Chair of the Governance, and CEO Evaluation/Compensation Committees. Len is retired from the Structures Division of the New York State Department of Transportation where I was employed for 35 years. He received his Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from Hudson Valley Community College in 1966 and his Industrial Labor Relations Degree from Cornell University in 1979.

Lou Anne

Lou Anne spent her entire career working in the financial industry and retired from Homeowners Advantage (a subsidiary of legacy CAP COM) as the Director of Mortgage Servicing and Secondary Market. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Siena College. Throughout her career, Lou Anne was involved with many banking and credit union organizations and chaired several committees. In her capacity as a volunteer, Lou Anne has served as a member of the Board of Managers for 5 years, as Vice Chair of the Supervisory Committee, as well as serving on the Risk Governance Committee. She and her husband George live in Waterford and look forward to spending their golden years traveling the countryside.

Mark Marchand

Mark Marchand has served as a Board of Director's member for the credit union since 2004. Mr. Marchand is an adjunct professor in the Journalism Department at the University at Albany (SUNY). He is also a writer and consults on public relations, strategic communications, and crisis communications. Previously, he was Director of News and Editorial Services at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Director of Communications at SUNY's Rockefeller Institute of Government. In 2007, he retired as a Senior Manager in Corporate Communications at Verizon, where he worked for over 24 years at assignments in Boston, Albany, and Verizon headquarters in Basking Ridge, N.J. Prior to working for Verizon, Mark was a science and technology publicist at Boston University and worked as a reporter for two Massachusetts daily newspapers and a radio station. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980. He is a private pilot, and in the past served on the board of directors at the Parsons Child and Family Center, Empire State Aerosciences Museum, and the Albany chapter of the American Cancer Society. He resides in Clifton Park with his wife Elisa Gallaro. They have two sons, sons Daniel and Gregory.

Marty Finn

Marty is an attorney and certified public accountant, and a founding partner of the law firm Lavelle & Finn, LLP. Mr. Finn counsels clients on estate, financial, tax, business and elder law issues including personal and corporate tax planning, business counseling, structuring of business transactions, estate administration and estate and business succession planning. A major part of his practice involves assisting elderly clients and their families with tax and legal issues such as maximizing wealth and retirement income, governmental programs (e.g., Medicare and Medicaid) and disability planning including use of durable powers of attorney, supplemental needs trusts, health care proxies and living wills.

Mary Warr-Cowans

Mary Warr-Cowans has been a volunteer with the credit union for 25 years. She is retired from the New York State Department of Health, Division of Nutrition. Mary is a member of several professional associations relating to nutrition and is a New York State certified dietitian and nutritionist. Her tenure includes serving on the Community Support and Chair of the Inorganic Growth Committees. Volunteering is important to Mary because she grew up during the '60s and '70s in an age of tremendous change and in a family that actively participated in the community - in schools, in church, in local government, and in organizations working to improve the lives of people. She was taught through example that giving back to help those in need is not only a basic right of being a good citizen, but a responsibility. Working together we can make a difference, so volunteering goes to the core of who Mary is and the environment in which she was raised. Because of this belief she feels especially proud to be a Broadview volunteer as the credit union does so much in communities to help people in need. By being a volunteer, Mary says "I am part of something bigger than herself and through our collective efforts we are doing our part to make the world a better place."

Patrick J. Kelly - Chairman

Pat earned his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering at Clarkson College and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology. He has been a member of the Credit Union for over 32 years and a director on the Credit Union board since 1990. Patrick Kelly, originally from Glens Falls, New York, earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Clarkson College and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at The Rochester Institute of Technology. He has worked in the communications industry for over 38 years and retired from Verizon after 30 years. Mr. Kelly has served as a member of the credit union's Board of Directors since 1990. His tenure has included service on many committees over the years including as Chair of the Board of Managers for several years prior to his current role as Chair of the Board of Directors. He and his wife Maryann reside in Niskayuna.

Paul St. John

Paul St. John has served as a volunteer for the credit union for 41 years. He is a retired civil engineer from New York State Department of Transportation and currently owns and operates a concrete consulting business. As a volunteer, he served as Vice Chairman from 1978 to 1988, Chairman from 1988 to 1993, and currently serves on the Asset/Liability Management, CEO Evaluation/Compensation Committee, and Supervisory Committees. Paul notes that he volunteers because "in 1977 we needed some new services: namely, same day deposit and withdrawal of funds. Once that was accomplished, I was a dedicated board member."

Philip Fields

Philip Fields is the Chair of the Supervisory Committee. He has served as a volunteer on the Supervisory Committee for four years and is now a member of Broadview's Board of Directors. Philip notes that he sees Broadview as an organization that helps those in need as well as positioning members to be in a better financial position through low rates and fees. He recognizes that staff are very committed to inspiring people from all walks of life to have a better living situation and he supports Broadview's services to the community. He is currently appointed as the Director of Budget for the New York State Assembly Ways and Means Committee and has served in various appointments within the New York State Assembly. Philip also serves as the Deputy Chair of the Schenectady County Legislature and is currently Chair of the County Rules Committee as well as the County Ways and Means Committee.Philip volunteers for the Capital Region Youth Tennis Foundation "15Love" and many other community and cultural organizations. He earned his Master's and Bachelor's Degrees in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany.

Portia Lee

Portia Lee is Managing Director of Public Finance and Portfolio Monitoring. She is responsible for supervising and directing DASNY bond issuance in the capital markets, implementing and overseeing financing programs, overseeing DASNY's compliance with continuing disclosure requirements, and monitoring the financial condition of existing DASNY clients. Portia previously served as Senior Investment Officer at the New York State Comptroller's Office where her responsibilities were assisting in the administration of the long-term fixed income portfolio of the New York State Common Retirement Fund, as well as the short-term portfolio and the Securities Lending Program. From 1995 to 2005, Portia worked at Moody's Investors Service where she most recently served as Vice President and Senior Credit Officer in the Public Finance Housing Group. Portia has a Bachelor's Degree from the State University of New York at Albany.

Robert Davis

Robert Davis has been an active credit union volunteer since July of 1993. During his tenure, he has served on the Board of Managers, the Policy Review Committee, the credit union's Financial Services Board of Managers and Investment Committee, as well as the Chair of the Supervisory Committee. Bob also served as the President of the West Point Parent's Club of Upstate New York for several years. He served as a Field Force Representative for the United States Military Academy Admissions Office. Two of his three sons are USMA graduates representing the Class of 2004 and 2007. Bob retired from Verizon in November of 2003. At that time, he was responsible for workforce training and education in New York and New England. He and his wife, Eileen, reside in Delmar. In his spare time, Bob enjoys restoring classic muscle cars.

Ronald Rock

Ron Rock has served as a credit union volunteer for more than 33 years. His New York State career spanned more than 30 years, including appointed positions by three Governors, in the Governor's Office and the Division of the Budget. Ron is now part of the firm Brown and Weinraub with offices in Albany and New York City. He has had the privilege of serving as the Board of Director's Chair for legacy SEFCU from 2005 to 2022. Ron volunteers because he believes in the cooperative spirit where the organization is owned by the members it serves and, more importantly, Broadview's progressive agenda not only for our members, but for the communities we serve.

Shane Rauh

For more than half of his nearly two decades in financial services, Shane has focused on delivering business banking solutions for small to medium size businesses. Shane tailors services to match the unique needs of each business (including new ventures), providing concierge-style service and rapid loan decisions when time is of the essence.

Sheri Scavone

Sheri Scavone has been a volunteer with the credit union for 14 years. She is the Executive Director of the Western New York Women's Foundation. Sheri has also served on various committees including the Community Support and the Board Integration/Inorganic Growth Committees. Sheri volunteers for Broadview because she believes in the organization's mission and in particular, its "commitment in giving back to the communities in which we live, work, and play."

Sheri Szemplinski

Susan Rosko Fogarty

Susan is CAP COM's Chief Relationship Officer. Susan also gives her time to other community outreach, such as Arbor Hill Neighborhood Association, YWCA, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Schenectady Symphony Orchestra.

Timothy Jennings

Timothy Jennings has been a volunteer with the credit union for 26 years and currently serves as Treasurer. He is retired from the Research Foundation for the State University of New York where he served as the Assistant Vice President for the Finance Office. Tim currently serves as Chair of the Asset/Liability Management Committee, and he is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Vincent Colonno

Vince Colonno has been a volunteer with the credit union for 26 years. He is past CEO of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany. Vincent currently serve as the Vice Chair of the Board and has served on the Asset/Liability Management Committee and as Chair of the CEO Compensation/Evaluation Committee. Volunteering is important to Vince because it helps fulfill one of his life's goals which is helping people.
