Alex Schiavoni has over 20 years' experience in a broad range of earth science industries, including soil and groundwater characterisation, contamination and remediation, mineral exploration, and mining and geotechnical engineering. The majority of his work has been in groundwater projects involving development of conceptual site models, site strategies and cleanup plans, environmental site assessments, UST excavation assessments, remediation conceptual design and implementation, and LNAPL mobility and recoverability assessments. He also has significant experience in industrial site decommissioning and demolition including the development of decommissioning and demolition management plans, concrete and debris management plans, environmental management plans, waste classification, materials management and beneficial reuse assessments. Alex has also worked extensively on oil-and-gas projects in Australia, with a focus on hydrogeological conceptual site models, drilling mud and fluid risk assessments, drilling mud and fluid waste management, and beneficial reuse assessments and development of operating procedures. Over recent years, Alex has been working on numerous contaminated land and waste projects within Australia and USA.

Andrew Rumsby is an environmental chemist with over 20 years' experience investigating contaminated sites and water discharges. This has included the evaluation of the fate and toxicological impacts of metals and organic compounds in the environment and human health. His expertise includes assessing the ecological and human health impacts of chemical exposures, environmental fate and transport modelling and use of environmental forensic techniques to identify the source of contaminants. Andrew's experience coupled with depth of knowledge of NZ regulations and chemical process allows him offer innovative and site-specific solutions to your contaminated land issues. Throughout his career Andrew has undertaken several different projects to assess the ecological and human health effects of sediment and soil quality investigations at various locations in the New Zealand's Auckland, Waikato, and Taranaki regions. These projects have included using advanced geochemical, eco-toxicological, and acid sulphate soils assessments; environmental fate and speciation modelling, and bioavailability assessments using a weight-of-evidence approach to determine the probable effects on the environment. He has also provided advice to various clients on the disposal of hazardous wastes and waste acceptance criteria.

Over this time, he has amassed a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, all of which he uses to make sound, forward-thinking decisions for his clients and as part of EHS Support's management team.Throughout his career, Chris has partnered with peers and senior management within client organisations to deliver numerous large-scale, technically and logistically complex projects across Asia Pacific, North America, and the Middle East. He has extensive practical experience in the development, design, implementation, and operation of managed aquifer recharge projects as well as delivering key hydrogeological aspects for coal-seam and shale-gas resource development projects, sustainable groundwater development projects, and mine rehabilitation. Chris has also represented numerous private clients, councils, and state regulators with expert evidence/testimony and currently serves as a committee member for the International Association of Hydrogeologists.In addition to the numerous projects he has delivered, Chris has served as a senior technical advisor to the members of the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, Commonwealth Department of the Environment and Energy (DoEE), Geoscience Australia (GA), Queensland Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy (DNRME), and CSIRO.

In addition to this, he has been responsible for assisting in EPBC act and EP act (Part 4) self-assessment documents, developing regulatory approval plans and Annual Environmental Performance reports for several energy projects and consequently has a solid foundation of State and Commonwealth environmental legislation (specific to petroleum activities).

Joseph (Joe) Hayes is a strategically-minded, lean-oriented and practical environmental professional who brings nearly two decades of experience in consulting, resources, and public sectors. Over the past several years, Joe has served in a lead environmental role for an upstream gas project, where he provided environmental management system and technical support for exploration, production and project development teams. In this role, he led various initiatives, which included the development and implementation of an environmental compliance management system. He was also a company representative for regulatory policy issues such as financial assurance, residual risk, and rehabilitation. Joe has received company awards as a result of his cost-savings initiatives, including financial assurance reduction, approvals streamlining and on-site drill waste management. At EHS Support, Joe continues to serve the petroleum and gas industry, with his recent work including project management and technical roles in the areas of produced water beneficial re-use, groundwater and hydraulic stimulation risk assessments and monitoring program optimization. He also recently co-authored an industry paper on residual risk. Prior to his work in oil and gas, Joe worked as a contaminated land professional in the United States and Australia and has served in both regulatory and consulting capacities.

Julian Howard

Julian is a Principal Environmental Consultant with over 15 years of broad experience leading environmental businesses and delivering investigation and remediation projects for a range of complex contamination issues. Project experience has allowed Julian to develop complimentary skills in facilitating stakeholder and media engagement to communicate contamination issues and been requested to act as expert witness for the Crown Solicitor in environmental court proceedings. He has also developed a strong understanding of the requirements and triggers of the new South Australian Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act (2016) with regards to site contamination. Julian has expertise in the assessment, mitigation and communication of risks and liability posed by contaminants in soil and water environments, and the delivery of pragmatic, risk-based solutions focused on meeting the client's objectives.

In her most recent role, Keira was responsible for advancing the environmental approvals of a large-scale development and was actively involved in engaging with regulatory bodies. Kevin Simpson

Kevin Simpson brings over 25 years' experience in oil-and-gas and contaminated land management and remediation to the EHS Support team, providing leadership and guidance to clients across Australia, the United States, and South Africa. A Mechanical Engineer by training, Kevin is skilled in design and implementation of soil and groundwater remediation and wastewater treatment systems. He has designed and implemented over twenty air sparge, soil vapour extraction, multi-phase extraction and pumping systems. Kevin is experienced in determining when and how systems should be downscaled and turned off to avoid unnecessary operations and cost. Kevin has developed and implemented various strategies for management of produced water, particularly for the coal seam gas industry. Projects include the preparation of water balance and options analysis workbooks to determine the optimum approach to managing produced water, sizing of evaporation ponds and tanks and beneficial re-use approaches such as irrigation and stock watering. Other projects in the oil and gas sector include operational studies such as optimisation of drilling mud management and evaluation of potential release of associated water to the environment. Kevin is a specialist in financial assurance and has worked on multiple projects for industry, industry bodies, and government. One of his key projects involved development of the Estimated Rehabilitation Cost calculators for Mining and Petroleum and Gas for the Queensland Government, which included stakeholder consultation and training.

Kym Ash

Kym is an experienced Environmental Advisor with over 8 years' experience in both industry and private consulting roles. She has been responsible for the successful design and implementation of environmental impact and risk assessments, environmental management plans, and environmental referrals under State and Commonwealth environmental legislation. Having performed the role of Lead Auditor, she is well versed in the execution of audit programs, including development of audit and compliance reports. Kym has proven ability to develop and facilitate induction and education programs which drive the achievement of environmental compliance, and promote awareness of health, environment, and safety (HES) issues. Rebecca Fraser

Rebecca Fraser, Ph.D., is a contaminant hydrogeologist with more than 20 years' experience in the private, public, and academic sectors within Australia and the UK. Not only can she provide technical assessment on a range of sub-surface contaminants, but thanks to her strong regulatory background, she is also able to deliver reasonable, cost-effective outcomes for our clients, all the while meeting the necessary statutory requirements. Rebecca began her career in the southeast of England, where she principally worked to ensure that client activities and developments met strict environmental regulations and policy guidelines. Her doctoral research involved the study of the behaviour of uranium in groundwater, removal of aqueous uranium using elemental iron, and the development of a non-invasive fluorescent measurement technique. For more than two decades she has worked as a hydrogeologist and has been involved in the risk assessment of a variety of groundwater contaminants within small and large-scale developments.

Tiffany Gourley, Ph.D., has well over a decade of consultancy experience in both Australia and Canada, giving her the experience necessary to provide our clients with long-term, cost-effective solutions. Predominantly focused in hydrogeological and contaminated site assessment and environmental audit support, Tiffany's experience includes the management, coordination, supervision, design and reporting of environmental investigations, including the assessment of groundwater source protection and supply, groundwater and soil contamination, landfill gas and leachate, ecological and health risk, groundwater impact assessment and contaminant fate and transport. Serving as a member of a number of multidisciplinary teams over the years working for various industry sectors including defence, government, construction, property, energy and transport, she has gained extensive experience in soil and groundwater investigation, project planning and management, health and safety, field and laboratory QA/QC procedures and database management. William Dillon

Will Dillon brings nearly 10 years of experience within the contaminated land industry to EHS Support's Australia team. Will's primary focus has been within the waste/landfill area including the involvement of hydrogeological assessments, aftercare management plans, environmental monitoring plans, and regulatory compliance reporting for operational and closed landfills across Victoria. Involved in the design and construction of several landfills throughout Victoria, Will has worked in level 1 supervision roles such as the Geotechnical Inspection and Testing Authority (GITA) for landfill earthworks construction and as Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) officer for geosynthetic liner installation. He has experience with geosynthetic materials and has also been involved in landfill design, technical specification preparation, design reviews and auditor correspondence and assistance. Will's fieldwork experience includes subcontractor liaison, groundwater and environmental soil sampling, groundwater slug and recovery testing, pump testing, supervised installation of landfill gas and groundwater monitoring bores and test pitting for a range of contaminated sites (industrial, rail, petroleum, landfill etc.) Will has also worked on various large rail infrastructure projects within Victoria, completing tasks including soil classification, groundwater investigations and preliminary site investigations.
