Kimera was born and raised in Idaho, and has always had a passion for animals and animal behavior. She is a Certified Training Partner with the esteemed Karen Pryor Academy, is the staff dog trainer at West Valley Humane Society, holds a BA in Marine Science from Boston University, has done field research in Belize and worked as an intern at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington. Her rescue, Bella, and passion for animals and behavior sciences led her to pursue the amazing field of positive reinforcement training and behavior. Kimera worked at a local facility as a canine handler and trainer for 2 years and has 2500+ hours of canine handling and care experience and is well versed in dog body language and social behavior. She has been working professionally with dogs and other animals for 7+ years.
