Chase McWhorter serves as Managing Director of Institutional Real Estate Americas for Institutional Real Estate, Inc. McWhorter has more than 10 years' experience in the real assets investment industry.
Prior to joining IREI, McWhorter was head of business development for CedarMac, a 3D laser scanning firm focused on existing conditions measurement and documentation for large and complex infrastructure and real estate projects.
Prior to that, he spent four years working as an investment consultant with Euro Pacific Capital, advising clients on global real assets investment opportunities. McWhorter began his career in commercial real estate finance.
McWhorter is a graduate of the University of Southern California, receiving a B.S. in Public Policy, Planning and Development, while also winning three Pac-10 Championships and two Rose Bowls as a member of the USC Trojan football team.

David "Mac" McWhorter serves as Managing Director of the Institute for Real Estate Operating Companies(iREOC) and Capital Markets Consulting for Institutional Real Estate, Inc. (IREI). In this capacity, he has overall responsibility for directing the activities of iREOC and leads IREI's capital markets consulting.
McWhorter has over 30 years of experience in the institutional real estate investment industry and has raised over $12 billion for leading investment management firms serving institutional investors worldwide. In these capacities, he was responsible for managing more than 200 institutional investor relationships representing over $1 trillion in total assets to meet their real estate investment strategy, information, and communication needs.
Prior to joining IREI in 2016, McWhorter served as Managing Partner and Head of Investor Relations at Carmel Partners. In this capacity, he also served on the firm's Investment Committee. McWhorter led the capital raise of the firm's Fund V that closed at over $1 billion, which was recognized by PERE in 2014 as a top capital raise of the year for North America.
Prior to that, McWhorter served as a Director of Investor Relations at AEW Capital Management for more than 10 years. In this capacity, he was responsible for investor relations in the western U.S. and served as the firm's U.S. public pension market specialist. Prior to AEW, McWhorter served as Global Director of Property Business Development at Henderson Global Investors (Nuveen) and Managing Director at Heitman Investment Management.
Prior to that, McWhorter was a retail property developer/operator. He began his commercial real estate career in 1979 as a retail property sales and leasing specialist at CBRE in Central California.
McWhorter's professional memberships have included Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE), Texas Association of Public Employee Retirement Systems (TEXPERS) and State/CA Association of County Retirement Systems (SACRS). Denise Moose serves as editor; special reports, iREOC, video production at Institutional Real Estate, Inc. Denise joined the IREI staff in 2010 and has more than 15 years of publishing and commercial real estate industry experience.
Denise is responsible for editing and publishing all of IREI's special reports, IREI.Q quarterly reports and fund investment guides. She also produces, directs, films and edits all of the videos on the IREI, Real Assets Adviser and iREOC websites.
Denise is the editor of iREOC Connect (Institute for Real Estate Operating Companies Connect), a quarterly publication for members of the real estate operating company community. As IREI's real estate operating company specialist, Denise is also responsible for producing the daily iREOC Newsline.
Denise earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communication and journalism from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where she served as a staff writer on the college newspaper, The Poly Post. O'Farrell brings a wealth of experience to IREI having spent over 25 years in financial services information. Erika Cohen is president and chief operating officer for Institutional Real Estate, Inc. She oversees the day-to-day operations of IREI, coordinating the efforts of Administration, Editorial, Conferences, Data Services, and Marketing.
Erika directs, administers, and coordinates the internal operational activities of the organization in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives established by the CEO and the Board of Directors. In addition, she provides leadership to IREI's strategic planning process, financial management and staff development. Erika also oversees the implementation of new programmatic strategic initiatives to deliver measurable, cost-effective results.
Erika has a diversified work history in facilities management, project management, personnel development and strategic leadership. Prior to joining IREI, Erika served as general manager - property management at Jones Lang LaSalle's Denver office, where she managed daily operations, the annual budget, and all construction projects, and also fostered tenant relationships and provided oversight of the operations staff. Prior to joining JLL, Erika held the position of human resource manager at Imprints Wholesale, which she joined in 2008. Prior to JLL and Imprints Wholesale, Erika served as the COO & Co-Founder of Paulina Group LLC dba Bene Gourmet Pizza. In this role, she managed overall operations and business development of the branded restaurant chain.

Jennifer Molloy serves as senior editor of Institutional Real Estate Asia Pacific for Institutional Real Estate, Inc. Jennifer earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree in rhetoric and communication from the University of California - Davis. While obtaining her master's degree, Jennifer taught an undergraduate course in small group communication. For her doctoral degree in communication from the University of California - Santa Barbara, Jennifer examined the attitudes of people of color and Caucasian people toward the police. At this time, she also served as a teaching assistant for the discussion sections of various undergraduate courses, including, interpersonal communication, research methods, mass media and communication, and intergroup communication. Jenny Guerrero serves as the controller and corporate secretary of IREI. She oversees the company's accounting and payroll functions, as well as maintaining the official records and minutes of the Corporation. She heads all of the company's accounting, payroll operations and corporate governance. John McClelland recently concluded a 37-year career in institutional real estate investing. He spent 21 of those years directing real estate investment activity of the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association. With LACERA John managed the approximately $5.5 billion real estate allocation in separate accounts and commingled funds investing in all major property types in the United States and globally. He also introduced real estate debt investing and single-family home development programs at the plan. In addition to his tenure with LACERA, John earlier worked as an acquisition officer with the real estate investment management company, FIA Associates; real estate investment officer at the California State Teachers' Retirement System; and managing director with the investment banking, consulting and management firm Chadwick, Saylor and Company.
John holds a Masters degree in business administration from California State University, Sacramento and a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA. He remains an honorary member of PREA, where he served as chairman of the plan sponsor counsel and a member of the board. McClelland serves on the advisory board of Alliance Global Advisors.

Kali Persall is the editor of Institutional Investing in Infrastructure (i3), a monthly publication for members of the global institutional investment community who are invested - or are interested in investing - in infrastructure.
As IREI's infrastructure specialist, Kali also is responsible for producing the daily infrastructure Newsline, as well as infrastructure-related videos with thought leaders on high-level topics.
Kali joined IREI in 2019 as a reporter, covering the company's infrastructure, fundraising and pension fund news beats, and she stepped into the role of associate editor in 2022. She has been awarded several APEX Awards for her feature stories. Kali previously produced IREI's biannual iREOC Connect publication and earned her copyediting credential from UC Berkeley.

Kevin McTavish has been an IREI board member for a decade. He has over 30 years of experience in the real estate investment industry covering a wide range of activities and assets, ranging from acquisitions, development, portfolio & asset management and dispositions. He began his career developing residential and industrial properties in Los Angeles. Subsequently, he focused on distressed and bankruptcy assets as a founder of Lone Star and then at Colony Capital. At Colony, he was a Principal and Chief Operating Officer, member of both the Investment Committee and Major Asset Review Committee as well serving on the boards of several publicly traded and private companies. He led Colony's efforts to establish offices in Japan and Korea. Prior to Colony he worked for the Robert Bass Group in Ft. Worth, Texas where he was a founder of Lone Star Opportunity Fund. He held dual roles in Europe while with Westport Capital, responsible for both sourcing new investments and marketing/raising capital. Sio has 14 years of investment experiences in multifamily residential real estate in Singapore and 25 years growing business for global information and market intelligence firms in both North and Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining IREI, Sio worked with various research, consulting, and advisory firms holding various sales leadership roles with the latest being Director of Eurasia Group, a political risks analysis firm helping clients to understand risks versus opportunities implications on financial markets, trade, corporate strategies and investments. Sio worked with SWFs, fund managers, national oil companies, MNCs, and commercial banks.
Prior to that, Sio work as the Director for EIU Public Policy where he worked with multilateral organizations such as ADB, UN, World Bank and foundations linking EIU's evidence-based advocacy research to important issues relating to UN's Sustainable Development Goals, focusing particularly on eradicating poverty, childhood education, gender quality, climate change, disaster resilience, food security, and healthcare.
Sio also hold Head of Sales positions for 3 years with Oxford Economics and 9 years with IHS, helped financial institutional clients, economic think-tanks and central banks clients with scenarios modelling, stress testing, macroeconomic forecasting, sovereign risks, country risks, and industry risks assessment.
Sio earned his MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School and Bachelor of Commerce from Murdoch, Western Australia.

Sandy Terranova is vice president, marketing & audience development for Institutional Real Estate, Inc. and is responsible for developing and executing the company's marketing efforts for its family of publications, including Institutional Real Estate Americas, Institutional Real Estate Europe, Institutional Real Estate Asia Pacific, Institutional Real Estate Newsline, Institutional Investing in Infrastructure, Real Assets Adviser and IRE.IQ database as well as IREI's advertising, conference registrations and other corporate marketing products. She manages the marketing department, which includes promotional campaigns, lead generation and fulfillment of subscriptions and advertising. In addition, Sandy also negotiates IREI's marketing alliance endeavors with conference organizations and other service providers and oversees the company's website. Prior to joining IREI, she worked for Cloutier Agency, where she was responsible for direct marketing promotions, public relations and studio bookings. Sandy received her B.A. in journalism from California State University, Los Angeles.
