Anna Daintrey-Dijkman

Job Titles:
  • Senior Associate
Anna is a Senior Associate at Thomas Robinson Architects and is the Senior Project Architect on some of our most complex projects. After graduating from the Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff, Anna came to Glasgow to study her Diploma of Architecture at the Mackintosh School of Architecture. In the past, she worked on many of Cambridge University's historic buildings while at AMA Architects, and also worked for MAST Architects in Glasgow. As an architect, Anna has worked on many kinds of projects, including housing, offices, community buildings, healthcare, conservation and refurbishment of listed buildings. She specialises in homes, ranging from small extensions to large estates and from social housing to bespoke private houses. Several of her projects have been nominated for awards. Anna is involved in many roles within Thomas Robinson Architects, including conservation, managing projects, and mentoring our Architectural Assistants through the RIBA program to become chartered architects. She loves using her organisational, technical and design skills to bring dream projects to life

Claire Fyfe

Job Titles:
  • Interior Designer
Claire works as an Interior Designer at Thomas Robinson Architects, and also assists the team with design administration and project support. Previously, Claire worked with the acclaimed textile design company Timorous Beasties in Glasgow. She has also worked in fashion in London at Burberry and Olivia von Halle, within Showroom Collection Management, Studio Management and Customer Experience. Claire has qualifications in Interior Design which compliment her Textile Design training. Claire works on Interior Architecture projects here at the practice. Her keen eye for design, materials and texture means she is an essential part of the design team.

Craig Higgins

Job Titles:
  • Associate
Craig is an Associate at Thomas Robinson Architects, and a Project Architect. Craig graduated from The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, where he completed his Masters in Advanced Architectural Design. He is also a qualified European Passivhaus Designer. His previous experience was in commercial and social housing, with projects ranging from community facilities to flat developments and larger scale housing schemes. Craig takes on a wide range of roles and responsibilities within the practice. As well as his skill as a Passivhaus designer, he has a keen interest in conservation architecture. He has also been at the forefront in growing and promoting the use of 3D rendering and visualisation in the practice.

Donald Morrison

Job Titles:

Donald is an Architectural Assistant here at Thomas Robinson Architects. Following his studies at The Mackintosh School of Architecture, Donald built a portfolio of residential and commercial works with Allison Architects in Glasgow. Donald works across various projects here at the practice. He has a particular affinity for striking and sympathetic rural designs by virtue of his Hebridean heritage, relishing the opportunity to develop existing steadings across the Western Isles. He likes to work closely with his fellow architects and technologists to enhance his knowledge of old and new construction methods that grow his understanding of how our designs come to life.

Ewen MacDonald

Job Titles:

Ewen is an Architectural Assistant here at Thomas Robinson Architecture, with exceptional practical experience. Before studying at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow for a BSc in Architectural Studies and a Masters in Advanced Architectural Design, Ewen completed a four-year apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery and an HND in Architectural Technology. Ewen works on many projects within our practice, and his knowledge and experience is a great asset. His work includes meeting with clients, creating initial design sketches and proposals, and producing detailed drawings and information for planning and building warrant submission.

Fiona Robinson - Founder

Fiona Robinson is a founding director of Thomas Robinson Architects. She is an architect and specialist in interior architecture, and is involved on every project. Fiona graduated from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow with a Masters in Architecture, and also has a degree in Commercial Interior Design. She worked for practices including BDP in Glasgow, Crampin and Pring (now CPMG) in London and Page/Park in Glasgow, before setting up Thomas Robinson Architects. Her experience as an architect includes many luxury private houses, as well as social housing and public buildings. Fiona's strength and expertise is at the creative end of architecture and design projects. She has an innate understanding of what will work, and is involved in developing briefs, analysing use relationships, defining and evolving design concepts and strategies, organising space and flow, and pinpointing architectural style. Her experience as an interior designer includes interior branding and the interior design of retail outlets and commercial offices. On projects where the practice sees the design through from very beginning to a fully complete interior design, Fiona is the lead on interior decision making. Fiona and Tom Robinson head up this successful architectural practice and work in synergy with each other and with the rest of the team. Together, they produce exceptional buildings, working to systems that Fiona and Tom have honed over time.

Fraser Watson

Fraser is a Senior Architect at Thomas Robinson Architects and is involved in all aspects of projects from conception to completion. A graduate from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow, as well as the University of Westminster, Fraser has worked for a number of award-winning practices. These include Urban Strategies in Toronto, Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands in London, and NMA in Edinburgh. His experience as an architect includes working on listed buildings, high-end private residential properties, and many large-scale social housing and public buildings. This includes being Project Architect for the full redevelopment of category B-listed 100 Princes Street hotel in Edinburgh, as well as Architectural Assistant on the large civic Hanover Square development in London, comprising of new build office, retail, and civic spaces.

Fraser Yardley

Fraser is a Senior Architectural Assistant at the practice, with considerable experience. He completed a Masters in Advanced Architectural Design at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, and has worked with various practices in Scotland and Germany, including Ica, Kettle Collective and haascookzemmrich. His experience includes projects at many scales, ranging from hand-built art installations and family homes, to multi-million pound hotel developments and a concert hall in Latvia. Fraser brings design skill to projects and is currently involved in work with listed buildings, as well as new-build hospitality and residential projects at the practice. He puts the needs and aspirations of the inhabitants at the core of his work, facilitating an enriched quality of life through the built environment.

Jason Booth

Job Titles:
  • Architectural Technologist
Jason is an Architectural Technologist here at Thomas Robinson Architects. His background is in surveying and architectural technology. Jason's career has included roles in Project Management and working as an Employers Agent for chartered building surveyors, measured building surveyors, and geomatics companies. This involved surveying, building surveys, domestic, commercial, and large infrastructure projects throughout the UK. He has expertise in geomatics, 3D documentation and laser scanning of historic buildings and structures, and 3D modelling including surface analysis, subsurface laser scanning and void surveys, and utility mapping. His professional studies in Architectural Technology at the University of Salford were taken while in work at a multi-disciplinary design and property consultancy. Here, he was responsible for the design and delivery of high-end residential, commercial, and healthcare projects, with an eye on both the design and day-to-day running of projects from inception to completion. He brings a balance of creativity and practicality to projects here at our practice.

Lynne Divers

Lynne is our practice Project Finance and Operations Assistant. She has worked in a variety of creative industries in London and Glasgow, including architectural visualisation, digital technology, and film and TV. She has invaluable previous experience in office management, finance administration and co-ordinating roles. Lynne assists the Directors and Project Architects with project finance and project operations.

Megan Grierson

Megan is a Senior Architectural Assistant here at Thomas Robinson Architects. She is highly experienced and has a great deal of interaction with clients. She completed a Masters in Advanced Architectural Design at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, and has previously worked at ICA Architects and HAUS Collective. Her experience ranges from small-scale dwellings to multi-million pound hotel developments. Megan is often involved in the early stages of projects at the practice, working on design development, producing detailed drawings and information for planning and building warrant submission, and liaising with consultants, contractors and suppliers. She brings valuable design skills and organisational know-how to our projects.

Rupert Bennett

Rupert is a Senior Architectural Assistant here at Thomas Robinson Architects, and an experienced Project Architectural Assistant. He completed his architectural studies at the Glasgow School of Art. Rupert has previously worked in England and Wales, with practices including Llewellyn Harker Lowe Architects in Bath, and Craig Hamilton Architects in Builth Wells. He has focused on residential architecture, but also branched out into designing churches, farm buildings and museums. He is currently involved in a selection of projects here at the practice, including listed buildings and new-build designs.

Scott Robertson

Scott is an Architectural Technologist here at Thomas Robinson Architects, and is an experienced architectural technician. He graduated from Napier University, and went on to work at The Kerr Practice Architects in Glasgow as an Architectural Technician. He has worked on a diverse selection of projects, ranging from small-scale social housing to a multi-million pound industrial factory and many styles of buildings in between. Scott's technical skills, attention to detail and communication skills make him a valuable member of our team. He works on the technical stages of many projects within the practice, both new-build and heritage architecture, including listed buildings. Scott has been instrumental in leading the streamlining of our technical processes.

Tom Robinson

Tom Robinson is a founding director of the practice. Tom is an architect with accredited specialisms in conservation architecture and Passivhaus design. He is often the first person a client meets to discuss their idea here at Thomas Robinson Architects. Tom graduated from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen. Before setting up Thomas Robinson Architects, he worked for practices including Law and Dunbar-Nasmith (now LDN Architects) in Edinburgh, Harvey & Scott - Gynn & Duff and James G Cuthbertson Architects, both in Glasgow, Pierce Dorsey Rhohrdanz in Florida, and Makower Architects in London. Working on significant historic buildings, such as Aberuchill Castle, Sherbrooke St Gilberts Church and Christ Church Spitalfields London, has been an important part of Tom's career. He has refurbished and helped preserve many more listed buildings and architecturally noteworthy country properties.
