Alicia Lai

Alicia Lai joined our Brentwood Office as a Senior Planner in January 2020 having worked for three years at another Essex based consultancy, where she qualified as a Chartered Town Planner. In her previous role, Alicia managed a range of residential-led schemes across the South East. She took several projects from inception through to decision, working with both landowners and small-scale developers. At JTS, Alicia is continuing and expanding on that role, to work with our existing and new clients on a diverse range of projects.

James Govier

Job Titles:
  • Associate Surveyor
James Govier joined JTS in 1999 and is now one of our Associates based at our Canterbury office. As a Chartered Planning and Development Surveyor, James provides advice on development projects throughout London and the South East. Working closely with the client, he is experienced in providing development appraisal advice and leading projects through the design and planning process. He also provides advice on site disposals.James is a registered Valuer with the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme and is experienced in providing valuations on a range of property types.

Jason Green

Job Titles:
  • Partner
Jason Green joined JTS in September 2000, to head up the Building Surveying department and in 2004 became a Partner in the firm. Jason has extensive experience as a Party Wall Surveyor, Principal Designer and as a building surveyor preparing schedules of work, specifications, property maintenance plans and building surveys. He also undertakes contract administration for commercial refurbishment and development projects and had dealt with a wide variety of property types. He is directly instructed by one of the Partnership's major clients to advise on the facilities management of their portfolio of convents, schools and nursing homes. Prior to joining JTS, Jason worked as a Project Surveyor for a large local authority and also as a Senior Building Surveyor at a major national property services consultancy, where he gained considerable experience in the maintenance and renovation of historic buildings.

Nick Davey

Job Titles:
  • Partner
Nick Davey joined JTS (then John Trott & Son) in 1987 and became a Partner after being elected as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1992 (where he is a member of the Planning and Development Division). Nick acts on behalf of a wide range of clients, providing planning and development related advice to public sector bodies, national companies and private individuals. He has appeared as expert planning witness at numerous inquiries, hearings and examinations. Nick, together with his colleagues at Brentwood, has been particularly active in the education, public house, restaurant and hotel sectors, and he has been closely involved in the nationwide role out of a number of national brands.

Rachael Dickson

Rachael Dickson joined the Brentwood Office in 2000, whilst studying at Anglia Ruskin University. She then worked for Turley Associates and Gravesham Borough Council (gaining chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute in 2003) before re-joining JTS in 2004. Rachael is an Associate Planner now based at our Canterbury office and works closely with clients, promoting development projects throughout the UK. She is experienced in providing development appraisal advice and leading projects through the planning process.

Shaun McLoughlin

  • Senior Building Surveyor
Shaun McLoughlin joined JTS in 2016. He has a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying and MSc in Project Management. His is experienced in providing all types of Building Surveys and other professional building surveying services. Shaun is now based at our Leeds Office, providing front line advice for a major client on building related issues in the north of the country.
