The Personnel/Remuneration Committee is responsible for preparing the appointment of Executive Board members as well as for representing the company to the members of the Executive Board. It handles all personnel matters of the Executive Board members, including approving the acceptance of mandates with other companies. It also concerns itself with the achievement of goals by Executive Board members, prepares the review of the compensation system for the Executive Board, and, in the process, handles the setting of goals for variable compensation.

After Inge Hofkens earned her master's degree in applied economics in Antwerp, she started as a scrap purchaser at Metallo in 1993, not knowing that her heart would soon beat for the metals industry. In the meantime, Inge Hofkens is an expert in secondary materials. In her first ten years in Beerse, she occupied different positions on the purchasing, processing and trading side of the recycling business. Afterwards, she moved to sales and hedging metal price risk and from there gradually grew into the areas of marketing and communication, business development and business strategy. After nearly 30 years as an experienced management executive at Metallo, she took on the position of Managing Director at Aurubis Olen in 2021.
As Member of the Executive Committee Metallo Group, she was closely involved in the sale of the Metallo Group to the German Aurubis Group and subsequently in the integration of the Metallo sites within Aurubis.
Inge Hofkens was appointed to the Aurubis AG Executive Board as Chief Operations Officer Multimetal Recycling effective January 1, 2023.

After training in banking and studying business management in Dortmund and Amsterdam, Mr. Verhoeven started his career with what is now thyssenkrupp AG. Initially working at company headquarters in the areas of finance and accounting, Mr. Verhoeven took up various managerial posts in connection with the construction of a steel plant in Brazil starting in 2005.
Mr. Verhoeven then worked for thyssenkrupp in the USA and in Brazil as Head of Controlling/Head of Finance before being appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Brazilian subsidiary in 2012.
Before joining Aurubis, Mr. Verhoeven was Chief Financial Officer with thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel GmbH, a subsidiary of the thyssenkrupp corporation in the steel sector with a workforce of 1,800 in Germany, France and India.
Mr. Verhoeven has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Aurubis AG with effect from January 1, 2018.

Roland Harings studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen. After earning his engineering degree in 1989, he began his career at Webasto AG in Stockdorf, Germany, an international supplier of the automotive industry.
After different responsibilities and international assignments in quality, development, and key account management at Webasto, he switched to Alcan, an aluminum producer and processor, in 1995. He initially managed the sales and purchasing department of the engine components division in Nuremberg and, starting in 1998, was responsible for developing the automotive division in the aluminum strip sector.
Following the merger of Alcan with Alusuisse in 2002, Mr. Harings oversaw automotive sales for Alcan in Europe. From 2005 to 2010, he served as General Manager of the integrated aluminum rolling mill of Novelis in Sierre, Switzerland. As Vice President, Mr. Harings managed Novelis' global automotive business from 2010 to 2014.
Prior to his appointment to the Aurubis Executive Board, Mr. Harings was CEO/Managing Director of MKM GmbH, a manufacturer of 280,000 tons of copper semi-finished products with about 1,200 employees in Hettstedt, Saxony-Anhalt (Germany). The company was extensively modernized in this period and was successfully sold to KME in 2018.
Mr. Harings was appointed to the Executive Board of Aurubis AG effective May 20, 2019 and has served as Executive Board Chairman since July 1, 2019.
