The Bracken Trust was established as a Registered Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee in 1997. To raise funds after the fire, the Trust launched a "buy a brick" campaign and shortly after, we were visited by The Henry Smith Charity, who recognised the good work being done and granted £100,000. The Trust was then in the position to purchase its own property in Cefnllys Lane in September 1998. The bungalow cost £125,000 and the alterations an additional £28,000. The Trust was able to raise the additional amount with help from many generous people...
