DB&E was founded in Dalhart, Texas in April, 1947 by C. P. "Pete" Metcalf and has been in business at the same location for over 69 years. In the early 1950's, Mr. Metcalf purchased his first rig for drilling water well wells for agriculture applications. Over the years, Mr. Metcalf was regarded as the pioneer of water well drilling and pump installation in the northwest corner of the Texas Panhandle. He was acclaimed for his dedication to providing quality customer service and Mr. Metcalf oversaw DB&E's operations until his passing in 1986. The Metcalf family continues to maintain long-standing relationships and is part of the Dalhart community...
