In 1959, Mr. Jerry Vanpaemel started as an office-clerk age 16 working for Mr.Deridder, working himself up to director and taking over the company in 1978 when Mr. De Ridder passed away, thus changing the name of the company to M. De Ridder-J.Vanpaemel & Co PLC. Mr. Jerry Vanpaemel remained CEO until he passed away in 2011.
