The Meat Handler Company originally formed in 1982 by Kathy Pearce and Christopher Kuehnel under the name of New Age Computer Systems. Their mission statement: "TO CREATE A POSITIVE INFLUENCE ON THE MEAT INDUSTRY BY PROVIDING PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT INSIGHTS AND TOOLS". The management staff hails from agricultural backgrounds and combined their expertise to shape a small and highly innovative company.
