Cindi started with us as an intern and has since worked her way up the ranks. In 2018, she was promoted to Clinical Director. Her leadership is invaluable.
Dennis founded the company in 1977 and is our Chief Executive Officer. After working in this industry for over four decades, his expert knowledge is second to none.
Our founder Dennis M. Giroux began his career in the addiction field in 1972 and has been providing substance abuse treatment services and drug and alcohol testing services in Los Angeles County since then. In 1977 he formed Alternative Action Programs when he was subsequently invited to provide services for the County of Ventura in 1989. Since 1977, AAP has served over 80,000 referrals. Dennis has provided court-mandated substance abuse programs including United States Fedreal Probation, Ventura County Probation, Ventura County Behavioral Health Services, State of Calfornia Parolee Programs, Prop 36, PC1000 Drug Diversion, Drug Court and many other treatment programs over the years in the criminal justice system.
Dr. Michael is our Executive Director. He has led our team since 2010. He is responsible for the development of our evidenced-based practice and clinical rigor.
