Atlas Protection Limited was founded in 1977 by Mr. Hopeton Pessoa and was officially incorporated on March 22, 1980. In 1991 the company expanded to include Atlas Protection Ltd. (Ocho Rios) to better serve its North Coast Clientele. Further expansion would take place quickly over this period which saw an exponential increase in the company's client base to more than 300 private, commercial and blue-chip customers. The Security Firm is currently the second largest in Jamaica and presently employs over 2000 employees and contractors. Atlas, has the distinction of providing security services across all the island's 14 parishes... The application of technology has always been a signature of the Atlas Group. We were the first security company to equip our security guards with portable VHF/ UHF radios, the first to introduce Silver-Guard and computerized monitoring systems and also the first to apply polygraph examinations to screen potential job applicants.
