Renkim is a leader in the financial and mission-critical documents industry for credit, collection, healthcare, insurance, automotive and insurance companies... In the late nineties, the original founders began the process of converting Renkim's ownership from the two original founders to an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). Still today, every single share of Renkim Corporation is owned by current Renkim employees... Several years ago, a large, Detroit-based automotive manufacturer needed a sophisticated and secure database to handle vehicle and client information. Two programmers, Gary Perlick and Rob Swearengen, were hired to provide a solution for this complex application. In 1982, these two men officially formed Renkim Corporation, naming the company after their wives - Rena and Kim, hence RenKim. The company facilitated large scale data processing and communications management services.
