Kara Kimicata

Kara Kimicata (she/her) is our Community Outreach Manager. Kara has her Masters in Urban Affairs and Planning from GSPIA and a passion for community development. As a resident of the Lawrenceville community she has vested interest in keeping Lawrenceville safe, affordable, diverse, and thriving. Her research surrounds third places and how people gather to change their communities. She is excited to bring this lens to her work at the Lawrenceville Corporation. In her free time she loves to cook, read, manage her food blog, and frequent great third places in Lawrenceville and around Pittsburgh.

Ryan Scarola

Mr. Scarola joined the Lawrenceville Corporation in 2023 as its Operations Manager. Since 1991, Mr. Scarola has been involved in nonprofit work and sales, most notably for WQED-TV, The Field Museum of Natural History, the American Academy of Audiology, and most recently the Vitalant Foundation. Throughout his career, Mr. Scarola has demonstrated a commitment to philanthropy and operations management in the healthcare field and to donor and membership stewardship in the cultural arts. He is eager to share his abilities with Lawrenceville Corporation and The Ice Factory Studios. In his free time, Mr. Scarola has mentored children at The Embry Rucker Homeless Shelter in Reston, VA, and served as a volunteer sign language interpreter for The Center for Independent Living Resources in Richmond, VA. Mr. Scarola received his Bachelor of Interior Architecture from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2003. He was born and raised in Lawrenceville for the first fourteen years of his life, and his family has resided in the neighborhood in some way since 1916.

Sarah Trbovic

Sarah Trbovic (she/hers) is the Executive Director for Lawrenceville Corporation. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization and managing our two mission-based real estate holdings. After working in the private sector for many years, Sarah is will use her operations, financial and planning skills to help the Lawrenceville business community maintain its vibrancy and continue to grow in a responsible and sustainable manner. Sarah studied economics at Haverford College and has a Masters in planning from University of Pittsburgh's GSPIA.
