David Bergdahl

Dr. Bergdahl is a native of Southern California. His undergraduate and graduate work was at University of California Irvine. He came to Fresno in 1980 for his pediatric residency at Valley Medical Center and Valley Children's Hospital, where he was chief resident in 1982-83. Dr. Bergdahl joined Fresno Children's Pediatrics in 1983. He and his wife, Mary, have three adult children, Heather, Daniel and Stephen. He is also the grandparent of twins, Mack and Millie. Dr. Bergdahl's special interests include nutrition and complementary medicine.

Dr. Cristina Vargas

Dr. Vargas has authored and participated in several research and clinical projects on topics including aspects of care related to Type 2 diabetes, which was published in The Diabetes Educator. She has also shared her expertise through oral presentations on a variety of topics, including immigrant health in the Central Valley, opioids and microaggressions in healthcare, and has been involved in school and community-based healthcare initiatives and events.

Dr. Cynthia Kim

Dr. Cynthia Kim joined Valley Children's in February 2023 as a pediatrician at Dakota Pediatrics in Fresno. Dr. Kim comes to Valley Children's from Southern California Permanente Medical Group in Los Angeles. She is an advocate for her patients and believes everyone deserves quality care. She has dedicated her time to quality improvement projects to enhance patient experience. As every parent only wants what is best for their child, Dr. Kim aims to work closely with families as a team to care for her patients. After earning her medical degree from Touro University of California in Vallejo, Dr. Kim completed her pediatric residency training at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. Throughout her training and career, Dr. Kim has championed leadership and mentorship. Prior to joining Valley Children's, she served as a clerkship preceptor at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, mentoring and educating medical students. When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She is fluent in English and Korean.

Dr. Dhanya Panicker

Dr. Dhanya Panicker joined Valley Children's Medical Group in August 2017 as a primary care physician seeing everyone from neonates to young adults at Fresno Children's Pediatrics in Fresno. She completed her pediatric residency at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine after graduating from T.D. Medical College in India. She assisted in research in a breast cancer study and made a poster presentation at the Cooper Cancer Institute in 2011. Dr. Panicker enjoys traveling, the outdoors, cooking and reading fiction in her down time. She is also fluent in English, Malayalam and Hindi.

Dr. Erin Vaughn

Dr. Erin Vaughn joined Valley Children's in July 2023 as a complex care pediatrician at the Charlie Mitchell Children's Center on Valley Children's main hospital campus in Madera. After earning her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Dr. Vaughn completed her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Yale University. She is board certified in pediatrics and internal medicine. Dr. Vaughn is a passionate advocate for her patients and values the role she can play in helping educate and empower patients and their families. In 2022, she developed and worked as lead physician with the Youth Health Transition Program, a program designed to assist young adults and their families transitioning from pediatric to adult care. In addition to being fluent in English, Dr. Vaughn is fluent in Portuguese and can speak conversational Spanish.

Dr. Myanne Nepomuceno

Dr. Myanne Nepomuceno joined Valley Children's in September 2022 as a pediatrician providing care at San Dimas Pediatrics in Bakersfield. Dr. Nepomuceno comes to Valley Children's from Family Healthcare Network in Porterville, where she provided outpatient and inpatient pediatric primary care for eight years. After earning her medical degree from the University of the Philippines in Manila, Dr. Nepomuceno went on to complete her pediatric residency training at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center/Kings County Hospital Center. During her residency training, she served as year as chief resident at Metropolitan Hospital/New York Medical College. Dr. Nepomuceno strives to be active in promoting pediatric wellness in the community. She has presented lectures on various topics, including a recent presentation on how medical providers can support breastfeeding, which was shared with the Tulare and Kings County Breastfeeding Coalition. She lives in Bakersfield with her husband and two daughters. She is fluent in English and Tagalog.

Dr. Ramandeep Kaur

Dr. Ramandeep Kaur joined Valley Children's in November 2021 as a pediatrician at Sky Park Pediatrics in Fresno. After earning her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Dr. Kaur went on to complete her pediatric residency training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she also held an academic appointment as a clinical assistant instructor. Dr. Kaur has presented her expertise on multiple topics at industry conferences. She presented her research on multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) at the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Annual Meeting in February 2021. She has also been involved with several quality improvement projects addressing issues including improving resident knowledge and comfort with adolescent health management, and improving compliance with vitamin D supplementation in infants. Education and mentorship are important to Dr. Kaur; throughout medical school and residency training, she provided mentorship and small group series to medical students, interns and residents. In one series for interns and residents, Dr. Kaur presented group-based curricula for community-based obesity prevention programming for children aged 7-11. Dr. Kaur is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking and traveling.

Dr. Saul Diaz-Martinez

Dr. Saul Diaz-Martinez joined Valley Children's in August 2022 as a pediatrician at Adventist Medical Center in Fowler.

Dr. William Hall

Dr. William Hall joined Valley Children's in August 2023 as a pediatrician at San Dimas Pediatrics in Bakersfield. After earning his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica, Dr. Hall completed a residency in pediatrics from State University of New York, Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. During residency, Dr. Hall served on several resident-led committees. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Hall is fluent in English and speaks some Spanish. He enjoys outdoor activities with his partner and their dog, Kaido and cat Luffy. He also enjoys music, particularly playing the drums, piano and singing. In his spare time, Dr. Hall enjoys video games, movies, board games and traveling.

Marie Rhamie

Prior to joining Valley Children's, Marie worked as a nurse practitioner in Southern California, with a special focus on care for adults and children with chronic and acute lung disease. Marie brings extensive knowledge and training to her role at Magnolia Pediatrics. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, the highest level of education available in the field, from Loma Linda University. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Marie's mission is to provide evidence-based healthcare to pediatric patients with compassion and integrity.
