Andrea Steinberg - CEO

In her role as Chief Executive Officer of Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties, Andrea Steinberg, LCSW is a recognized leader in organizational leadership and transformation. Manages all aspects of agency operations. Responsibility includes overseeing the agency's multi-faceted program areas, more than 175 employees as well as more than 8,000 consumers each year. Under her leadership, JFS has furthered their reputation as the go-to agency in Atlantic County. With 20 years' experience in the mental health industry specializing in counseling and Family Life Education, Andrea combines her clinical background with strong leadership and management skills. During her tenure, Andrea's leadership is instrumental in expanding the agency from a $5.7 million to $11.6 million. With her longstanding focus on integration and best practice, JFS has been brought to the forefront as lead agency for Atlantic Homeless Alliance, premier trauma counseling provider and a certified Behavior Health Home. Following Superstorm Sandy, Andrea immediately mobilized the organization as well as the community by raising $1 million and provide basic necessities and support to thousands individuals and families. An alumnus of Boston University and Bryn Mawr College, Andrea is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She served on the Board of the Association of Jewish Family & Children's Agencies (AJFCA) and is currently on the National Board of the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies (NJHSA). Andrea received the United Way Executive Director of the Year in 2009; Beth El Synagogue Woman of Valor recognition in 2015; AJFCA Leadership Award in 2015 and Sadie Nauy Older Adult Service award in 2016. Among her many awards and accolades, she was awarded a Peer Leadership Award by Samost Jewish Family & Children's Service of Southern New Jersey.

Ann Thoresen - COO

Ann Thoresen serves as Chief Operating Officer for Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties where she is responsible for building on the agency's vision and strategic direction as well as overseeing program operations, policies and procedures. In addition, she continues to ensure the agency maintains its status as a premier provider of mental health services in the region through best practice initiatives, innovative approaches to service delivery and program growth. A JFS staff member for nearly 20 years, Ann most recently served as the Senior Director of Community Support Services & Safety. In addition, she has held the positions of JFS' Senior Director of the Atlantic Homeless Alliance (AHA), Projects in Transition from Homelessness (PATH), Justice Involved Services (JIS) and Mental Health Case Manager. A graduate of Rutgers University, Ann holds a Master of Social Work degree. In addition, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies from Stockton University. A community advocate, Ann volunteers for the Mays Landing Clean Communities Road Adoption Environment and the Brigantine Marine Mammal Stranding Center. In addition, she serves as a trainer for the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), participates in the Atlantic County Justice Advisory Board and is a Disaster Response Counselor and SSI/SSDI Outreach and Recovery (SOAR) trainer.

Laura Rodgers

Laura Rodgers serves as Chief Program Officer for Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS). In this role, manages programs providing outpatient counseling, services and socialization for adults 50+, vocational support for individuals with disabilities, comprehensive wellness and recovery focused clinical case management and support services to adult individuals with mental illness. She oversees program staff development and supervision to assure client outcomes and program commitment compliance for agency standards, licensing bodies, and funding sources. Laura works tirelessly to provide advocacy, community networking and liaison services for individuals with substance dependence, criminal justice involvement, developmental disabilities, medical problems, aging, and homelessness. Laura joined JFS in 1995 as a mental health case manager, over the past two decades she has helped the agency to expand serving the most vulnerable populations. Under Rodger's leadership, the JFS programs for Jail Diversion and Enhanced Supportive Housing have successfully integrated their consumers into their own communities. In addition, she has worked to ensure that incarcerated individuals receive case management services as they transition back into society. In addition to her with work with JFS, she volunteers as clinical consultant and supervisor for the Alcove Center for Grieving Children & Their Families. Rodgers has served on NJ Supreme Court Inter-branch Committee on Mental Health Initiatives and the Atlantic County Criminal Justice Advisory Board, she currently serves on the board of the Housing and Community Development Network of NJ and co-chairs the Permanent Housing Committee of the Atlantic County Homeless Consortium. She is a co-founder of the Garden State Leaders program for persons with lived experience of poverty and was honored with the 2015 Social Worker of the Year Award by the National Association of Social Workers, New Jersey Chapter.

Steven Marchiano serves as Chief Financial Officer for Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) where he is responsible for Payroll, Accounts Payable, Billing & Accounts Receivable, Contracts, Grants and Audits as well as developing new financial strategies for the organization's growth. Prior to joining JFS, Steve served as the Executive Vice President of Finance, Administration and Compliance at Cape Counseling Services, Inc. for more than 30 years. Throughout his career, he also held Senior Accountant and Staff Accountant positions at companies in the Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia markets. Steve earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Steve is also a Certified Public Accountant. His professional affiliations include: Vice Chair of the CFO Group for the New Jersey Association of Mention Health & Addiction Agencies, Member of the Stockton University School of Business Advisory Board, Treasurer of the Cape Atlantic Integrated Network for Kids (INK), and a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
