HONORS

The Jere W. Morehead Honors College began in 1960 with a handful of classes and about 40 students. We now serve more than 2,800 undergraduates each year-including 550 incoming first-year students for fall 2023. Honors students can choose any degree program at UGA, which has 170-plus majors and academic programs... The Morehead Honors College is committed to providing the best for our students. Through small class sizes, internship programs, travel-study funding, research opportunities, faculty connections, scholarship support, early registration, and alumni networks, we open doors to the best the university has to offer.
