EP DESIGN

EP Design focuses at the design of equipment for electrophysiological experiments with epithelia: cultured monolayers, native tissues from animals and biopsies. Initially we developed equipment for studies of these tissues mounted in Ussing chambers. More recently we focused our efforts on high throughput electrophysiological assays with monolayers cultured on Costar 24 and Millipore 96 transwells. Electrode arrays and multichannel clamp amplifiers have been designed to make simultaneous measurements of open circuit potential (PD), transepithelial resistance (TEER) and short circuit current (Isc) of 24 epithelia.
