Aaron Tempel - President

Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, University of South Carolina, 1998 Mr. Tempel is the President and senior mechanical engineer for EPIC Engineering Solutions whose background includes all aspects of mechanical design and construction project management. His design experience has included use of computer-assisted design programs, including ESP-II, HAP 4.2 Heating/Cooling Load and Energy Analysis, Trace Trane Load analysis, AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD, and various fan and pump selection programs. During 22+ years of ambitious professional practice, he has designed HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, petroleum process piping, and performed energy modeling and analysis. Mr. Tempel has prepared detailed HVAC drawings, control drawings, plumbing drawings, delegated fire protection systems, environmental permits, and performed life cycle cost analyses. As the mechanical supervisor, other activities included editing of specifications, project planning, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and architectural drawings. His work experience provides a broad background on a wide variety of residential, commercial, and industrial system designs including office buildings, restaurants, club houses, libraries, auditoriums, schools, churches, court houses, military facilities, restaurants, strip shopping centers, and marinas. Mr. Tempel is LEED accredited and is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers.

Arik Kramer

Education: Associate in Engineering Technology in Engineering Mr. Kramer is a senior mechanical designer and production/project manager whose background includes many aspects of mechanical design and construction project management. Mr. Kramer has designed and prepared construction documents for HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, industrial process piping and petroleum process piping. His design experience, which spans thirty-two years, includes over ten years of manual drafting and thirty plus years of computer aided drafting (CAD). He is also experienced in the use of computer-assisted design software such as Trane Trace Load Analysis, Trane TOPPS, ESP-II, HAP 4.2 Heating/Cooling Load and Energy Analysis, and various equipment selection programs. Mr. Kramer has been a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) for twenty-two years.

Jason Ballou

Education: Electronics Engineering and Computer Programming Mr. Ballou is a junior electrical designer whose background includes designing software and years of supplying and working with electrical contractors on various projects across the state. He is experienced in the use of computer-assisted design software such as AutoCAD and Visual Lighting calculation software. Jason Ballou has worked for years as a project manager with many electrical contractors on different kinds of projects, sourcing and understanding the needs of each project. His duties include meeting with clients, reviewing projects' scopes of work, job site assessments and observations, designing lighting calculations, electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, producing and/or reviewing system design, code research, product research, editing of specifications, project coordination with the design team, and in-house quality control and project management.
