Claire's Dance Academy is a dance school based in Morpeth, Northumberland. Offering a range of dance styles for different ages groups... Claire Young Dance Academy was founded in September 2011 and currently have approx 300 students. We have an extremely talented and inspiring staff who have pushed and developed the skill and technique of all of our dancers. All staff are fully qualified, DBS checked and first aid trained... Exams - Every year we hold dancing examinations in ballet and tap which we work towards throughout the year. They are usually held in October when a BATD/NCDTA registered examiner arrives and examines the dancers on their set steps, performance and technique. All dancers ranging from 3 years+ can be examined providing they are ready to take their dance exams. Certificates, medals and trophies are awarded a few weeks later for each dancer who has taken the exams. The dancers will then move up to the next level.
