Matt Sweet is a Group Leader, Director of Higher Degree Research, and National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia Leadership Fellow at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, The University of Queensland (Brisbane, Australia).
His group is interested in developing novel anti-infective and anti-inflammatory approaches through a detailed understanding of molecular processes that control macrophage functions.
At the meeting he will present work on harnessing macrophage-mediated antibacterial zinc toxicity in host-directed therapies.
Professor Toshiyuki Fukada is affiliated with the Tokushima Bunri University. Prof Fukada organized the 6th ISZB meeting in Kyoto, Japan (2019) and served as a former president of ISZB.
