Toronto Foundation is a proud member of Community Foundations of Canada, the national membership organization for more than 191 Community Foundations across Canada... Almost 40 years ago Fraser Deacon set up Toronto Foundation - a registered charity and now one of over 190 community foundations across the country. We're on the younger side, considering the community foundation movement is close to 100 years old in Canada. In the last few years we've prioritized our work on the principles of the new philanthropy to help shift power and funding imbalances in our city... Donors partner with us for the strategic investment and administrative services we offer, as well as our community insights. Toronto Foundation also offers shorter-term funds so donors can augment their granting levels by flowing charitable gifts through the Foundation directly to registered charities.
