Chloe is fifth generation in the Lymn family and the great-great granddaughter of A.W. Lymn. Chloe became a Director of the Company in 2022 and now oversees the Pre-paid funeral department as well as dealing with the implementation of changes to national legislation.

Colum O'Shea

Colum joined the company in August 2011 as an apprentice and started his training as a funeral arranger, director, embalmer and memorial mason. After a decade in the funeral profession he trained as a civil funeral celebrant with Civil Ceremonies Ltd and gained his NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Civil Celebrancy (the highest qualification available in the field). He is based in Mansfield but will happily serve any family using A.W.Lymn, The Family Funeral Service. He is also a member of the Institute of Civil Funerals, who lead the national standard for Celebrants in the funeral industry by continually monitoring the quality of all work and responding to feedback left by the families he has cared for.

Emma Percival

Emma has been involved with the company since 2011 and joined on a permanent basis in 2016. Emma overseas the marketing, PR, social media, website, printing and graphic design for the company as well as anything else that comes her way! Outside of work Emma has two boys who are in secondary school and can be often found on the side line of various sporting fixtures. She is a Nottingham Forest season ticket holder and loves a good book, especially a psychological thriller.

Jackie Lymn Rose

Jackie Lymn Rose is the great granddaughter of A.W. Lymn and a fourth generation funeral director. She has worked full time in the funeral industry since 1978 joining the family business in 1993. Jackie qualified as a Member of the British Institute of Embalmers in 1978, served as National President 1988-89 and was awarded Fellowship in 2013. She gained the Diploma in Funeral Directing in 1979. She is still active in the family business in arranging and conducting funerals.

James joined A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service in January 2020. He is employed in the business to cover the dual roles of the Company Accountant and the Company Secretary. James studied Economics at the University of Leicester graduating with a first class degree in 2014 and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2017. Outside of work James enjoys both playing and watching football as well as spending time with his family.

Mark Chapman

Mark initially started with A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service in March 2009 as a driver and bearer, he then progressed taking on the role of a funeral arranger, he then trained further taking his diploma in Funeral Directing in 2012. Whilst in his role as a funeral director and running the company's funeral home on Osmaston Park Road in Derby, Mark gained his qualification as a Civil Celebrant with Civil Ceremonies and is a member of the Institute of Civil Funerals. Mark has been involved in the Funeral industry for many years and became involved after losing a loved one himself in 2000.

Mark Ridout, the Senior Funeral Director for the East Area is based at Carlton and the day to day running is organised by Funeral Director Paul Richardson and Funeral Arranger Emma Hemstock. Mark joined A W Lymn in November 2005 at Arnold, left for a four year period in 2009 rejoining in 2013 at Carlton to progress to Senior Funeral Director for the East Area. With 46 years' experience in the funeral profession, Mark was educated in Gloucestershire and trained with the Great Southern Group in Southwest London. he worked as a funeral director with a prodigious firm in Bristol prior to his arrival with us. Mark's interests include music (especially 19th and 20th century Russian), jazz, poetry, wild flower and herb cultivation, the Eastern Orthodox Church, Cats Protection, photography and creative writing especially combining these in studies of rural Northamptonshire.

Matthew Lymn Rose - Managing Director

Matthew is a great-great-grandson of the founder Arthur William Lymn and has worked for the company full time since January 2005. Matthew studied for his Business Studies Degree at Sheffield University and has worked in all departments of the business and is a qualified Funeral Director, Embalmer and Memorial Mason. Since being appointed Managing Director in 2015, Matthew oversees the daily operations of the business, but also remains hands on arranging and conducting many funerals for the bereaved families we serve. Matthew has two young daughters, and in his spare time enjoys classic car rallies, and supporting Nottingham Forest Football Club.

Mike Cendrowski

Mike joined A.W.Lymn The Family Funeral Service in June 2023 after completing 38 years of distinguished military service in the British Army. He is employed as the HR and Assurance Lead within the business. Mike has embarked upon upholding and improving standards across all aspects of our operations, which is vital work if the company is to maintain our position at the forefront of the funeral profession. Born in Derby and educated at Littleover Comprehensive School, the Stratford Business School, and Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, he is married with two children and in his spare time enjoys supporting Derby County Football Club and walks in the north Nottingham countryside.

Nigel Lymn Rose - Chairman

Nigel is a great grandson of the founder Arthur William Lymn and has worked within the family business in various capacities since 1967 when he was still in full time education. He quickly qualified as a Funeral Director, Embalmer and Masonry Fixer whilst undertaking his further education and time in articles with the accounts Deloittes. He joined the two office firm full time in November 1979 and lead its development and growth over the next four decades. He is now semi-retired but remains available for conducting funerals for the families he has served over the years and keeps a watching brief on the development today.

Penny Lymn Rose

Penny joined the family firm in 1979 and was originally responsible for payroll. She was an active part of the Stonemasons team from 1987 until 2009 From October 2007 to October 2008 Penny was president of the National Association of Memorial Masons (NAMM) and was privileged to show The Princess Royal around the NAMM memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum. She was also involved in refurbishment of the premises and maintaining and designing the gardens. Penny is now substantially retired but still provides valuable inputs at board level.

Pete Clarson - Chief Commercial Officer

Pete has worked full time for the company since September 2016. He is a Chartered Accountant having spent nearly ten years in a large accountancy firm before joining the business. Pete oversees the non-funeral aspects of the business such as finance, property, human resources, marketing and IT as well as ad hoc projects. Pete is the first non-family Director of the company. Pete lives with his wife and very energetic dog and in his spare time enjoys mountaineering and volunteering with the Scouts.

Richard Marshall

With over 20 years' experience in the funeral profession Richard Marshall is our own in-house Civil Celebrant. Richard has been with A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service since December 2010, joining us first as a funeral director and latterly as a Senior Funeral Director. He is based in Beeston but will happily travel within the East Midlands to meet with bereaved families to plan the type of funeral ceremony that they want for their loved one. He is also a member of the Institute of Civil Funerals, who lead the national standard for Celebrants in the funeral industry by continually monitoring the quality of all work and responding to feedback left by the families he has cared for.
