Established in 1905, Aarons has been an independent practice with the community in the center of it from the beginning. Saul Aaron first opened, what was known as, ‘S. Aaron Ophthalmic Opticians' on Station Road, Ashington. Fortunately, his son Sidney had the same initial so no name change was required when he took over in the 1940s. Dr Peter Frampton then acquired the practice 1993 and since moved locations a few times but always remained in the heart of Ashington. Now known as ‘Aaron Medical Optometrists', there have been big changes over the years but the value and level of care has remained the same... Based in Ashington, Aarons employs Medical Optometrists and is the only practice in Northumberland providing access to Medical Optometrists.
