Jason Schneider

Jason Schneider brings strong business and financial credentials to the practice of corporate and tax law. As a CPA and an attorney, Jason's combined experience in financial, tax, and legal matters has proven very beneficial in aiding his business clients throughout the company life-cycle. Jason regularly counsels clients on the tax and legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures as well as the business, legal and tax issues relating to global business expansion and cross-border transactions. Jason also regularly assists clients with strategic planning initiatives, corporate governance, federal and state securities regulation, and corporate finance matters.

Jill Denbow

Jill Denbow is the SLG Office Manager and is a Notary. She comes to the firm with 25 years of corporate experience in customer relations, marketing, accounting, sales operations and commercial lending in the automotive industry. Jill is also a photographer specializing in fine art photography and has been running her own business for the past seven years. She especially loves to photograph everything outside, including flowers, trees, barns, interesting buildings and charming cityscapes from local areas and from her travels. When she's not at her desk or outdoors behind a camera, Jill enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters and her four-legged furbaby. About to be empty nesters, Jill is looking to expand her photography business and she and her husband are going to focus on volunteering in their community.

Leanna Kendall

Leanna Kendall is the Front Office Administrator and a Notary. Before joining SLG, Leanna was a research scientist and science teacher with degrees in Microbiology from Colorado State University and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She taught High School and Middle school science in Chapel Hill for several years. When she's not working, Leanna enjoys spending time with her husband Ben and two children. Leanna likes to lead her daughter's Girl Scout troop, read books, cook, and spend time outdoors running and hiking.

Lisa Schneider

Lisa Schneider is an accomplished attorney and corporate governance advisor with more than twenty years of legal and policy experience in areas including corporate governance for public and private companies, securities regulation, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate social and environmental responsibility. Lisa also has extensive experience with international legal matters including employment-based immigration, cross-border M&A and international investment in U.S. business operations. In addition to her role with SLG, Lisa served as a senior governance advisor for an international corporate governance consultancy based in Rome, Italy, through which she advised listed companies throughout Europe, Asia, and Latin America on issues such as board composition, board/management relations, annual shareholder meetings, executive compensation policies, general governance benchmarking and evaluations, board evaluations, and shareholder relations. Lisa has authored a primer for the US Council of Institutional Investors on Cross-Border Proxy Voting and presented a workshop on duties and considerations of joining a not-for-profit board of directors. Lisa serves as a member of the Advisory Board for North State Bank. She is a Fellow of the North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership, and a graduate of Leadership Raleigh. Lisa has been active in state and federal politics, having worked in a presidential campaign and various statewide and local races. Lisa enjoys being active in the community, including participating in a local bowling league, acting with a community theater, and volunteering with civic organizations like the Sierra Club. Lisa values the time she gets to spend with her two young children and her husband.

Sharon Wilson

Sharon Wilson is a North Carolina Certified Paralegal and Notary with extensive banking experience. As a volunteer Emergency Medical Services provider for over 20 years, Sharon also worked with non-profit EMS corporations in New York and served on various boards dedicated to improving emergency services. Sharon enjoys bowling, photography, gardening and grandchildren, not necessarily in that order!

Trent Green

Trent served as the Director of Tax for PROS, a $160M publicly traded company headquartered in Houston, TX. Prior to that, he was a Tax Director in PwC's Raleigh office. Before joining PwC, Trent was in charge of international tax at SAS, a $2.7 billion private company operating in more than 50 countries. He began his career in public accounting with PwC (Coopers & Lybrand) working on a variety of corporate, partnership, and individual income tax issues. Trent has BA/Business Minor and Master of Accounting degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill. Trent is an award-winning speaker and technical presentation leader that develops his own courses, writes books, and teaches CPE in multiple states. He also enjoys working with, teaching, and mentoring youth, having been a scoutmaster and a community baseball coach for four years and having worked with youth in his church in various capacities for over ten years. Finally, Trent enjoys his life with his wife Alison keeping up with and being involved in the lives of his five children.
