Aaron has a wide range of transportation experience, with particular expertise in traffic operations, multimodal level of service, and safety work. His traffic operations experience includes a number of ramp metering projects throughout California as well as the performance of freeway volume calculations. Aaron has worked on a wide range of large-scale traffic studies for environmental impact reviews in California and has been involved in numerous safety studies looking at both vehicle safety and pedestrian safety in California. Aaron is an expert on the application of the urban street facilities chapter of the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), which provides a methodology for determining multimodal level of service. As part of this expertise, Aaron serves on the Highway Capacity Subcommittee that oversees the pedestrian and bicycle chapters of the HCM.

Aditya builds on his broad interdisciplinary experience in urban design, architecture, and city planning. He specializes in providing urban design solutions that leverage transportation projects in order to integrate it with the built environment, resulting in sustainable and livable communities. Aditya strongly believes in a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach that involves all stakeholders to design and plan communities. His experience includes designing and planning complete streets, station areas and TODs; and planning multimodal corridors, transit systems, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities. Aditya is a strong advocate of livable communities, walkable environments, and smart transportation initiatives.
Alec graduated from the University of Portland (UP) with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and minor in innovation and entrepreneurship. During his time at UP, he became heavily involved in innovation and entrepreneurship and is an alum of the Entrepreneurial Scholars Program, the University Innovation Fellows Program at Stanford University, and has worked in the Franz Center for Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation. Since joining Kittelson, Alec has been involved in a variety of projects, including traffic impact studies, roundabout reviews, transportation system plans, research, signal and street lighting design, and roadway design. Alec is interested in a variety of projects and is always excited to continue learning from each new experience. When he's not in the office, Alec enjoys climbing, skiing, stand up paddle boarding, and doing basically everything under the sun or clouds.

Aleena serves as a project accountant and provides support to Kittelson's Florida region, including Orlando, Tampa, Tallahassee, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. In this role, Aleena works closely with project managers, operations leads, business services staff, and external clients to manage financials throughout the life of each project. Aleena has held financial positions throughout the majority of her career, including three years specific to the engineering and architecture industry. She has a well-rounded accounting background with experience in client invoicing, budgeting, contract management, AP, AR, and financial reporting. In her spare time, Aleena enjoys spending time with her husband and her two dogs.

A focus on novel approaches unites Alek's breadth of experience in developing multimodal transportation solutions. With a civil engineering degree from Iowa State University and masters' degrees in civil engineering and city and regional planning from Georgia Tech, Alek remains actively involved in several professional organizations related to transportation and is a former president of the Washington, DC Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers. He also served on the International Board of Directors of the Young Professionals in Transportation.
As a national expert in the planning, evaluation, design, and research of roundabouts, Alek has worked on hundreds of roundabout projects across the United States and Canada and has served as the principal investigator of NCHRP Synthesis 488: Roundabout Practices. He is also a member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Committee on Roundabouts (ANB75) and has assisted in the efforts to update several statewide roundabout guides.
Working with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), Alek has led the development of innovative transportation solutions that address complex demands, including leading the consultant team in the development and analysis of the parkDC: Penn Quarter/Chinatown performance parking initiative. As part of his effort to lead traffic safety evaluations across the District, Alek evaluated future multimodal opportunities on Pennsylvania Ave. NW between the White House and the Capitol and helped to design the first protected intersection in Washington, DC. Within the mid-Atlantic, Alek has led Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Updates for regional MPOs and cities and has led the transportation elements of several award-winning urban design projects. In Cambridge, Massachusetts, Alek developed the "Peanutabout" as a potential concept, which includes separated bike lanes at two closely-spaced mini roundabouts in a constrained urban area at the Inman Square intersection.
Through his triathlon training, Alek regularly runs and bikes on facilities he helped design and implement. Although he has not yet developed facilities comfortable for swimmers, Alek always remains open to broadening his skill set.

Alex works with the Kittelson communication team in content strategy for both Kittelson and our clients. She uses her storytelling skills, trend awareness, and communication expertise from her background in book publishing and publicity to create social media strategies that increase consistency, engagement, and awareness about transportation in the online world. Alex holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism & Mass Communications from the University of New Mexico and a master's degree in Book Publishing from Portland State University. When not working, you can find Alex with her nose in a book, listening to horror fiction podcasts, or drinking mochas at her local coffee shop.

Alex received her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in civil engineering. Prior to joining Kittelson, she interned for a local government agency, where she gained valuable experience in traffic studies, safety analysis, and traffic management. Alex enjoys using AutoCAD and GIS to develop and explain thoughtful solutions to complex problems. She is passionate about the transportation industry and improving the lives of individuals who depend on safe and efficient transportation systems. Outside of the office, Alex enjoys hiking, traveling, playing board games with friends, and going to concerts.
Allison is a recent graduate of Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois, where she completed her degree in civil engineering. She is excited to grow her knowledge of the transportation industry and is driven by her passion to connect people by providing better access to various modes of transportation. Her internships working in municipal design throughout college provided valuable experience in design projects, as well as AutoCAD Civil 3D. At Kittelson, Allison is involved in a wide variety of planning and design projects. When she is not in the office, you can find her hiking, traveling, playing sports, or hanging out with friends.
