The Swan can be dated back for almost 200 years, and been run since 2004 by Ade and Julia. Ade has a long background in running pubs from the age of 20 in Torquay to managing pubs for Smiles in the 90's, and joining Young's in 2000. Julia's background has always been in customer service and has always been front of house based. Together since last century, we have strived to build a traditional "home from home" with our outstanding team of staff... We are the home of, "The King Of Chit". This heritage dates back to 1894 and is celebrated on August Bank Holiday every year with a coronation. The King is selected, and has opened banks, shops and turned on Christmas lights...
