LISBON MONTESSORI SCHOOL

Lisbon Montessori School is a co-educational not-for-profit authentic Montessori learning organization. We offer Montessori education to children ages 3-12... We have a permanent license from the Direção-Geral da Educação (DGE) for our Casa program (ages 3-6). In 2022 Lisbon Montessori School received prestigious accreditation from the Middle States Association Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS) of the United States for all our levels. Since then we have sought the final Direção-Geral da Educação (DGE) license for our Elementary program (ages 6-12)... We encourage children to choose from a range of activities that are developmentally challenging and appropriate. We make efforts to inspire children to learn for themselves, make mistakes and correct them on their own or with gentle guidance from the teacher.
