David Brown works for Global Intertrade as their Commercial Property Manager. Global is a private Spanish-owned company who own a dozen buildings in and around Adelaide and a few offices in Melbourne. He manages the leasing, tenancies, facilities, engineering, building services and redevelopment of their commercial properties. Although employed as a manager, he is an all-rounder who does all from fault-finding to approving capital expenditure to leasing and re-development. His specialty is developing the outcome, whether it's leasing to a new tenant, providing their needs, upgrades to buildings and building services etc.
In a previous role as a Facilities Manager, David became particularly interested in A/C, Fire & building codes, having completed Grad Cert in Air Conditioning (Code Compliance) and Grad Cert in Building & Fire Codes as additional training.
In the past he has held many association roles: Treasurer and President of AIRAH SA; past National Director of AIRAH; past President of IPEA SA; and has been secretary of CIBSE SA for the past two years.

Dr Jane Lai is Associate I National Sustainability Lead in erbas I erbas SUSTAIN. She has broad experience and technical competence in sustainable design, reporting, energy performance analysis, and health and well-being design. She has worked on a wide range of project types in both the public and private sectors of existing and new developments. Jane is results oriented with a progressive approach to project delivery. She is a regular guest lecturer in the Melbourne School of Engineering at the University of Melbourne, and continues to push for innovative research opportunities between the industry and university.

Ian Small served as Chair of the CIBSE ANZ Region from 2014 - 2017. Prior to this, Ian was the ANZ Regional Treasurer from 2005. Ian was also the Chair of the South Australian Chapter from 2003 to 2014, as well as serving on the South Australian Committee prior.
Ian has been awarded the CIBSE Bronze Medal for his service to the Institution.
Ian is the retired Managing Director of the National Air Group. He has been involved in the HVAC Industry in the UK and Australia, as both a Mechanical Services Contractor and Consultant, for over 45 years.

Matthew is an Associate at Compass Engineering Group. Having been with the business since January 2018 and assisting with the growth of the business from 3 to 15 persons, his role primarily consists of being project lead and Mechanical Services discipline lead. Matthew's key areas of interest include promoting energy efficient and sustainable building services design, developing fit-for-purpose and cost-effective solutions for clients and the development and progression of young engineers through the HVAC&R and greater construction industries.

Patrick Leung is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 35 years of building services engineering experience in the construction industry, having worked in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Hong Kong, China, and Thailand across different sectors from infrastructure to building projects. Patrick is an enthusiastic engineering professional and aim to achieve a high standard of consultancy services for all projects. He is a Fellow of Engineers Australia (FIE Aust), Fellow of Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (FCIBSE); Fellow of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (FHKIE); Professional Engineer on Australia's National Engineering Register (NER), and a registered International Professional Engineer Int(PE) APEC. Registered Professional Engineer in Victoria and Queensland.
Paul provides hydraulic (public health) engineering expertise and leadership through the provision of design services and advice to a broad range of clients and industry sectors. He is a highly focused, committed team player and an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary leader.
Paul has been involved in a voluntary capacity with the CIBSE committee since 2006, initially with in various CIBSE / SoPHE Committees that have spanned across the North West of England, Scotland and now in Sydney, Australia. Since 2013 he has held various leadership positions wtith CIBSE ANZ including NSW Chair, ANZ Hon Secretary, ANZ Chair and since 2022, ANZ Hon Treasurer.
Paul also hosts the CIBSE ANZ Podcast - Talking Buildings and is regarded as a key influencer and connector in the Building Services Industry.
During his career, Peter has developed an extensive knowledge in fan, applications, commerciality, project management, customer management, product management and sales and marketing. Peter continues to be an active member of the Victorian Chapter. During his membership he has been a General Committee Member, Victorian Chapter Chair and currently holds the position as Victorian Chapter Treasurer. Peter believes that his involvement with CIBSE ANZ has been invaluable as he continues to expand his professional networks and broaden his knowledge of the Australian Building Services Industry.

Peter has been involved with CIBSE ANZ in many positions over the last 18 years or so and has held positions from the Victorian Chair (2002 -2008) through to ANZ Chair (2008 - 2013) and CIBSE Global President (2014-2015). He is currently serving in an Advisory role on the ANZ Regional Committee He also undertakes the Professional Review Interviews for IEng and CEng, and the Competence Review Interviews for ACIBSE and MCIBSE, and conducts candidate interviews in the Victorian region.

Phil is a Chartered Engineer and represents CIBSE as ANZ Vice Chair. He is passionate about the value of CIBSE's repository of technical information and the professionalism that active CIBSE members bring to building services. Phil began to get actively involved with CIBSE in 2013 while working in the energy efficiency industry and studying part time for a Master of Design Science in Building Services at the University of Sydney.

Sean McKeag is a Chartered Engineer with 30 years of experience in the construction industry, having lived and worked in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, London, KSA and the United Arab Emirates. Sean is a Fellow of Engineers Australia (FIE Aust), Fellow of Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (FCIBSE); Professional Engineer on Australia's National Engineering Register (NER) and a registered International Professional Engineer Int(PE) APEC.
Sharon oversees national events in the CIBSE ANZ regional calendar, including the Young Engineers Awards and Annual function, and the ANZ Seminar Series. She is involved in raising the awareness of building services opportunities at tertiary institutions and championing chartership to raise standards for the greater good of the industry. She is working to develop more CIBSE cpd training opportunities in the region, both online and face to face. She also co-ordinates in-house membership presentations, regional communications such as the ANZ eNewsletter and the Talking Buildings podcast and would love to hear from you if you have any content you would like to contribute or if you would like to know how CIBSE can help to support your staff development.
Prior to joining CIBSE ANZ in 2017, Sharon worked for CIBSE UK as a Marketing Executive. She managed the marketing for the CIBSE Building Performance Awards and the CIBSE Building Performance Conference & Exhibition as well as producing the CIBSE Newsletter.
Stephen Hennessy is a past Chair for the Australia and New Zealand Region of CIBSE. He has had a long association with the Institution, serving in the past as the NSW Chair, and the national membership secretary. He also served as Region Chair from 2004 to 2006. In 2010 he was awarded a Silver Medal for services to the Institution. He also undertakes the Professional Competency Review Interviews for IEng and CEng, and the Competence Review Interviews for ACIBSE and MCIBSE.
