Mr. Gigliotti serves as Chief Investment Officer and Founding Partner of Xtellus Advisors, LLC, a New York-based private equity investment firm. He began his financial career in 1989 as an analyst at Mutual Series Funds where he continued as a Senior member of the investment team led by acclaimed investor Michael Price. After building assets under management to over $17 billion, Mutual Series Funds Inc. was acquired by Franklin Templeton in 1996. Joining Goldman Sachs Asset Management in 1997 as a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager he managed the value strategies team and over $7 billion on behalf of the firm's institutional clients. In 2002 Mr. Gigliotti became one of the founding partners of Trilogy Global Advisors LLC and as a Sr. Portfolio Manager helped build a team that grew assets under management to over $16 billion in global equity strategies. Trilogy was acquired by Affiliated Managers Group, Inc in 2010. Gigliotti was awarded a B.A in Economics and International Relations from Connecticut College in 1988.
Mr. Swigart is the CEO and a Founding Principal of Xtellus Capital Partners. Mr. Swigart is also the Founding Principal of Steep Rock Capital and Steep Rock Ventures, through which he has extensive experience investing in private equity and venture capital both in the US and internationally. Previously, Mr. Swigart was the CEO of the US operations of VTB Capital. He also held several investment banking and portfolio management roles in Moscow, London, New York and Mexico City. Mr. Swigart serves on the Board of Directors of a number of private companies, including Eccentex Corp, Bulzi Media, OnSpot Data, and Mara Social Media. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Prescient CO. Mr. Swigart graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University with certificates in Russia Studies and Latin American Studies.
Mr. Zak is the COO and a Founding Principal of Xtellus Capital Partners. In his current role, Mr. Zak is responsible for broker-dealer licensing and operations, regulatory processes, and 15a6 chaperoning as well as overseeing Finance, Operations and Compliance. Previously, Mr. Zak was the COO of the US operations of VTB Capital. Before joining VTB Capital, Mr. Zak was appointed as the COO of Global Equities at Cowen and Company. Mr. Zak's earlier career included various senior positions in Boston and New York with Leerink Swann & Company and Adams, Harkness & Hill, BT Alex Brown, Nomura Securities and the SEC. Mr. Zak is a graduate of Rutgers University with a BA in Economics and a minor in Business Administration.
