Beth's parents were long time residents within Sea Pines, having built their home at 53 Baynard Park Road in 1982. After her mother passed away some 14 years ago, her parents' home was sold and her father continues with frequent visits to Beth's home at 69 Baynard Park Road, where she's lived for 16 years. Hilton Head has been a part time and full-time home to her family for over 50 years!
Beth has a son, Patrick, a rising junior at Appalachian State University, a 3-year old golden retriever, Shiloh, and Kevin, the cat.
Dan and his wife, Mary Pinkel, moved to Sea Pines in August 2021 from Anchorage, Alaska, where they lived for almost 40 years. When their two children wound up on the East Coast, they decided a warm beach climate might suit them in retirement after serious Alaskan winters. Dan practiced law in a small civil practice. He graduated from Amherst College and the University of Washington Law School.
Harry and his wife, Kathy, lived most of their lives in New England, going to school in Boston and then spending 40+ years in southeastern Connecticut. After falling in love with Hilton Head while vacationing here for several years, they purchased their home in Sea Pines. Following retirement, they said goodbye to the cold weather and moved here fulltime, along with their super friendly dog, Casey.
Mimi and Dan first visited Hilton Head in 1985 and have owned in Sea Pines since 1999. They raised their sons in Woodstock, Georgia but all three learned to ride a bike on the paths here. Mimi and Dan purchased their Baynard Cove house in June of 2020 and Mimi retired from teaching in May of 2021. She enjoys playing tennis and pickleball and participates in several book clubs. If you see them walking their black lab, Ivy, please say hello!
Steve and his wife, Cathy, both grew up in what they jokingly refer as LA. (Lower Alabama). They spent 40 years in Georgia (Albany and Atlanta) before retiring and moving full time to this paradise of Sea Pines on HHI in 2023. Steve has an undergraduate degree from Troy University and graduate degree from Auburn University.
Steve and Kathy moved from Atlanta, GA to their home at Baynard Cove Club. He has been vacationing in Sea Pines with his parents and siblings since the 1960s and continued doing so with his family of four children since 1990. Upon his retirement in 2021, Steve and Kathy moved to Hilton Head full-time, enjoying all that Hilton Head and Sea Pines have to offer. Their children regularly visit as Hilton Head/Sea Pines has truly become their home away from home.
Tony and his late wife, Dee, first came to Hilton Head in 1986 and continued to come back over the years. They bought their first condominium in Shipyard Plantation in 2008 and, later, bought their present home at 17 Marsh Drive in 2018. Tony is a retired CFO as of the fall of 2019. Sadly, Tony lost Dee to cancer in the Spring of 2021 and moved to the Island full time in the Fall of 2021. He has no children and, happily, is now in a committed relationship with Julie Donatelli from Chicago.
Tony has been up and down the East Coast visiting potential retirement spots for over 20 years, and there is nowhere he has found as appealing as Hilton Head, and the Baynard Park community is second to none on the Island!
