DIE ANKER SKOOL

Die Anker School provides quality education to learners with moderate- and severe intellectual disability, as well as learners with special learning disorders. Tuition is provided in both English and Afrikaans... We are striving to be a school of excellence. We shall ensure that every learner in Die Anker School does as well as his / her abilities allow him / her to do. We shall provide the necessary knowledge, skills and qualifications that learners will need to develop into successful adults... Die Anker School in Vanderbijlpark opened its doors on 18 January 1965 and was known as Vanderbijlparkse Spesiale Skool. Initially, the School had a menial 53 learners and just 6 teachers. On 16 November 1966 the name changed to Die Ankerskool / School.
