Bret Scalzo has been with our firm since 2004 and is an invaluable part of our survey crew in the field. Whether it is large boundary retracement surveys or smaller title surveys, Bret's lengthy experience as a field crew chief assures that our company maintains its reputation for fast turnaround times and the highest quality of work.
Mr. Scalzo has been with our firm since 2003 and has extensive experience in various aspects of civil engineering and design of residential developments and subdivisions. His experience includes all aspects of site design from conceptual developments, zoning compliance, storm water management and sanitary sewer systems, septic and pump station design, through permit acquisition and project completion. Additionally, he provides representation of development applications to local planning and zoning boards.

William "Bill" James is a graduate of SUNY Rockland (A.S. Liberal Arts & Science) and of the University of Maryland at College Park (B.S. in Civil Engineering). He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in both the state of New York and Maryland.
Bill started his career in Land Surveying in 1988 as a rodman on a surveying crew. As he learned the art and skill of land surveying at the very basic levels, he also attended school for civil engineering. Upon graduating, Bill worked in various capacities for design engineering firms as well as in the field performing construction inspection on multi-million dollar municipal construction projects rising eventually to be a Resident Engineer and construction manager in charge of all facets of quality control and assurance on said projects for clients such as the New York State Department of Transportation and the New York State Thruway Authority. In 1998 Mr. James consolidated all the knowledge he had gained to start his own company, W.E. James Engineering and Land Surveying, PLLC with a goal of providing its clients with a positive and reliable experience for their projects.
