Janeen Covell is a Site Coordinator at Sunrise Elementary. She earned a B.A. in Sociology from Northern Illinois University and an MSW at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She moved to Washington from Wisconsin in December 2016 and loves it here! Hiking with her husband and her dog is one of Janeen's favorite pastimes since coming to WA. She joined the CISP team in August 2018 and finds great purpose in serving the students, their families, and staff at Sunrise Elementary School.

Jennifer Parreno is CIS of Puyallup's Program Manager. She earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Psychology from California State University at Stanislaus, and her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. She has spent the last 20 years doing what she is passionate about, which includes teaching, counseling, behavior intervention, and serving families with special needs. She is a published author and loves writing social-emotional learning stories. She is so excited to join the dynamic team here at CIS of Puyallup and help make a positive impact on this community.

Kay Tremper is the site coordinator for Stewart Elementary. She was born and raised in Puyallup and comes to CIS Puyallup with a degree in elementary education and administrative/community partnership experience. She loves building relationships and interacting with people. When she's not working, she loves hiking, camping with her family, and renovating her 1960s home. She's happy to have this opportunity to serve her community.

Kelly Jo Cane is the Community Partnership Coordinator for Communities In Schools of Puyallup. She received her B.A in Psychology from the University of Washington - Go Huskies! Kelly is a true "connecter" who enjoys bringing people to the table and surrounding students with a generous community of support.

Kelsey Hays is the site coordinator for Pope Elementary. She was raised in Puyallup and spent the past 10 years living in Texas, Germany, and Alaska with her husband, who is active duty Army. She has a B.A. in English from Thomas Edison State University and has spent most of her career working with children. She's served in roles as a substitute teacher and a children's ministry director. Her family enjoys hiking and playing Mario Kart Wii together. She is excited to advocate for local students and to help others do the same.

Mary joined CIS of Puyallup in 2017 as Woodland Elementary School's Site Coordinator. Mary holds an A.A. from Pierce College and B.A. in Communication Arts/Public Relations from Pacific Lutheran University. As a Lute, she thanks her PLU educators for fostering critical thinking, thoughtful inquiry, service, and leadership. Before joining CISP, she contributed to the funding successes of NPR, Mary Bridge Children's Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and Northwest Public Radio. Her passions include education, environment, human development, and lifelong learning.

Megan Tackett is CIS of Puyallup's Development and Communications Manager. She earned a B.A. in journalism/PR from Western Washington University and has experience in nonprofit membership development, news writing, fundraising, and event planning. Megan is passionate about education equality, animal welfare, and everything pop culture. She's thrilled to join the CIS Puyallup team and contribute to its philanthropy.

Sami Schubert is the Site Coordinator for Dessie Evans. Sami is a graduate of Eastern Washington University with a degree in Children's Studies. She was born and raised in Puyallup and was previously a Music Education teacher at Buttons and Bows Preschool. Sami is an avid volunteer and has accumulated 4,700 community service hours. She is excited to enter the world of CISP and eager to impact the lives of the students she serves.

She has worked in education for over 10 years and is currently working on a degree in Youth Development. She is overjoyed to be part of the team and looks forward to pushing forward with CIS of Puyallup's awesome work.
