CIRCLIA NORDIC - Key Persons
Alexander is an EUX Electrician and Mechanical Engineer. He is employed as a project engineer, where his primary tasks are technical documentation, development & sparring as well as implementation in practice.
He prepares various types of process diagrams of the plant and contributes to the development and design, and thus works to prepare Circlia in the best possible way for the practical implementation of the plant.
Alexander finds it exciting to be part of a smaller team where you have a relatively large influence. At the same time, it motivates him to work on a project that has such enormous potential within the green transition. "'Our' technology can contribute to more sustainable hydrocarbon-based fuels, which in my view is not something we can do without the current technological developments. Even with a replacement of all hydrocarbon-based cars, there will still be a huge demand due to the high energy consumption," Alexander says.
Alexander started an internship at Circlia Nordic in August 2022, and was hired full-time in January 2022.

Anda is employed to carry out marketing as well as administrative work. She is the company's octopus and keeps track of all the practical chores.
She is currently studying Economics and Business Administration at Aarhus BSS.
The reason why she chose to join Circlia is because she aligns with the values shared by the company. There is a lot of technology available nowadays and she is excited to be a part of a company which sees its potential and intends to use it to make a difference. The great culture of the company also plays its role in the decision.
Anda joined Circlia Nordic on August the 24 th.
Bjarne is employed as production manager and also works as project manager. Among other things, he deals with procurement, and requirements specifications to be able to procure the necessary parts, services and manpower for the projects.
He graduated as a mechanical engineer from Sønderborg Teknikum in 1994. In addition, he has a project manager certification, Prince2, from 2010.
Bjarne finds it motivating to be employed by Circlia Nordic because he is then a be part of the green transition and develops plants for green and sustainable fuels.
Bjarne was hired on January 1, 2022.

Esben's primary task is to help with the administrative tasks with a focus on finances.
He is studying economics at Aarhus University.
At Circlia Nordic, Esben builds on his knowledge from a previous student job, and he is enthusiastic about the company's mission.
Esben joined Circlia Nordic at the end of March 2022.

- Process and Business Developer
George was hired at Circlia Nordic to be responsible for the Process and Business Development activities. He has intensive experience in a variety of areas, including Research and Development, Project Management, Process and Performance Improvement, and Strategic planning and execution.
CIRCLIA NORDIC was founded as Bio2Oil in 2014 by CEO Ib Johannsen. Ib has solid experience in chemical engineering and innovation management acquired throughout his career in industry and academia. In addition, he holds a position as an honorary associate professor at Aarhus University
Juliano has a degree in chemical engineering from Aarhus University and a Ph.D.
He joined Circlia Nordic in May and is a part-time consultant for the company.
Juliano is excited to have become part of the company, as HTL has been his research focus since he started his Ph.D. at Aarhus University. He believes that this technology has great potential to be a great solution.
Kristoffer Blom is employed as a Process Designer at Circliaa Nordic.
He has a background in Civil and Machine engineering.
Kristoffer started working at Circlia Nordic in October 2023.
Lasse holds a Bachelor's degree in Technology Management and Marine Engineering, which serves as a driving force behind his commitment to working towards a green transition. As a member of Circlia Nordic, he is part of a dynamic team that actively explores innovative approaches to promote global sustainability. Having commenced his journey with
Circlia Nordic as an intern on the 15th of August, he transitioned to a permanent role as an employee on the 16th of January, a transition that brought him great satisfaction.
Patrick is employed as a scientific advisor at Circlia Nordic.
He has a PhD in Process Engineering from the University of Leeds on the topic of Hydrothermal liquefaction of microlgae from 2013.
He has been actively working on HTL research ever since 2010. He has been a part of the Department of Chemistry, at the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies, within Aarhus University, since 2015 and Associate Professor in the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering since 2017.
When asked why does he find it enjoyable working at Circlia Nordic, his answer was:
"I enjoy that I can contribute with my knowledge from HTL research to the commercialization of the technology. I think HTL has great potential to allow a more sustainable society and I feel I can make an impact to contribute to the technology's and Circlia Nordics' success in my position as scientific advisor."
Patrick was employed at Circlia in June 2022.
Steffan is employed to work on the development of Circlia Nordic's plant and Designer, tests, and draws the various parts.
He is educated as a mechanical engineer and has a master's degree in mechanics.
