DSD-TRN is the Disorders/Differences of Sex Development - Translational Research Network. We are dedicated to setting standards of care for patients and families living with DSD... At each of our sites, we offer the services of a multidisciplinary clinical team - endocrinologist, geneticist, urogenital surgeon, and psychosocial support professionals. All are trained in the specific care of DSD patients and offer concerted care in order to minimize genital exams and to provide consistent guidance to patients... In the beginning, four medical centers (UCLA, University of Michigan, UCSF and Seattle Children's Hospital) joined forces and designed a way to learn about the genetic causes and the psychological consequences of DSD. Our goal from the beginning has been to use these data to provide healthcare teams with procedures to evaluate and improve care for these patients and their families.
